Hello,
My real name is Melissa Norvell and I'm an aspiring manga artist and writer. I'm 22 years old and live in Oklahoma. My life-long dream to to become a manga-ka and I've been working very hard on my stories that I also have drawn versions of. I just hope that they are good enough to one day help me achieve my dream.

Things you should know about me:
0. I give new authors a chance and I always try to help people on their stories. I would never flame you, only offer constructive critisism. Please don't take it as flames, because it's hardly intended to be.
0. I only come to this site once a week to update my works. I usually read other's works as well. I like sharing my opinion and being introduced into new ideas. It helps me to better gain ideas and or writings styles that I may want to attempt in the future such as P.O.V.
0. I write for many genres but I'm known as a Gothic Romance writer. I do write the occasional humor.
0. I'm known for my characterization and intriguing plots. I'm very proud to have earned that title and I have all of my readers to thank for that. I really treasure my reviews and take each one into consideration to further better my skills as a writer. I'm optimistic and open to pretty much anything, as long as you don't flame me.
0. My works are usually T rated, although I have the occasional M or K rated piece. Most of my works verge on horror-based ideas or heavy angst. I try to get to a reader's emotions and hope that they sympathize and feel for my characters. I do not consider my works your usual stories around here.
0. I'm a nice person and will generally review you if you ask me too. Please realize that I'm busy and if I hadn't answered any PMs or reviews, I usually don't have anything to say, want to keep you in suspense or am busy and will get back to you later.

My Sister's Keeper- A story about ho far a brother's love will go for his sister. 10 chapters.
Dreamscape- A 12 chapter short surreal story.
Summary: Perhaps we'll someday wake from the dream, for if we sleep toolong, death will befall us.
Kuro-sama: Tragedy of Light and Dark - 15 chapter shounen-ai
Summary: SLASH. A chance meeting throws Hiromi into a battle of ninja to obtain a fierce sword that corrupts its owner. Is this sword truly worth the loss of his love, or will he himself fall victim to it?
Play Pretend- Finished but will not be posting because I want it to remain original. (ended in 31 chapters)
Crimson and Clover - Prequel to Sacrifice. Long story with over 100 chapters.
Summary: PREQUEL TO SACRIFICE. MXM FXM. A princess from a crumbling land must go on a journey for a legendary sword. But, is this sword a blessing of hope, or a forsaken curse?
Hayabashi Abumi Must Die - NO IT'S NOT LIKE JOHN TUCKER MUST DIE! I actually had this series before I ever heard of that movie.
Summary: What do you do when women you barely know are trying to kill you? Avoid death and try to make sense of it all without dying first!
A Nonsense Adventure- This is a parody which makes fun of just about every famous manga and anime concept known. It even makes fun of my own works. I hope you all like it. It's a result of Excel Saga, Puni Puni Poemy,Jungle de Ikou and other humorous and light hearted anime.
Summary: Ever get so caught up in a story that you feel like you're there? One woman picks up a magical book, mistaking it for her favorite manga and is sucked into a world like no other...
Caged Bird- A five chapter hetero story about confinement and sorrow. It's a very dark story with little to no humor at all.

Drifting- A fantasy/adventure/romance that is just plain weird and based on a lot of mythology based beings in it.

Dark Love (possible Temporary Title) - 17 chapter vampire story as a result of my anger towards cliche' vampire fiction.
Summary- NOT YOUR TYPICAL VAMPIRE FICTION.
Untitled- WILL BE POSTED SOON. Yohru Mine is an ordinary girl with an extraordinary life that only turns worse after she is saved by the owner of a demented shop. Under a promise, she decides to work for her and it turns out that she seems to be killing off her own clients. What's a girl to do when she's bound to a killer?

WHEN I UPDATE STORIES
Okay, I want to tell you all how my updating system works. I update by what stories I like to write on the most. Below is a list of stories that I update going from ones I update weekly to those I update monthly.
WEEKLY UPDATES- These are stories that I love and have a solid storyline for. I update these stories every week or close to it. If I miss an update then I am extremely busy and don't have the time or backlogged on updates.

ONCE A MONTH: These are stories that I either have on the back burner (Into the Void) or I have a lot of trouble with the storylines because they are so complex (Sumikochan inTwisted Land). There are also stories that are not in my genre to write and are challenging (To Wish Upon The Sea). These stories I have difficulty with and will not always update but I assure a once a month update.

Tsurugi: Tsubasa no Gedatsu - This one usually slips my mind. I have it all finished it's just hard to remember to update it since I don't work on it anymore.
