Hi all,
Ok, I seem to update this thing whenever I move to another level of education. I have now been a student at St Andrews University for four months! I am studying English, Psychology and Social Anthropology (I love the subjects but I miss being able to debate points in my lessons -now lectures).I have my first exams in four days, so naturallyI am uploading poems onto fiction press.
Every thing from here down is old news:
My favourite type of poetry is the haiku!
This is one of my favourites:
the piercing chill I feel:
my dead wife’s comb, in our bedroom,
under my heel…
(original in Japanese by Taniguchi Buson)
My Haikus follows the pattern 5, 7, 5.
There are a lot of them and I love writing them!
I dislike, well the usual; discrimination, hypocrisy and unnecessary violence.
A lot of my time is spent in an imaginary world, so writing seemed the obvious way to keep me linked securely to this reality!
Before I go, I would like to take the time to thank anyone who ever reviewed any of my work, especially the regulars (you know who you are ^_^ ). And a special thanks to those who put me on their favourites list.
If anyone wants to email me about any of my work or any other topics, feel free. Also you can check out my Live Journal (it is set as my homepage) if you want an irregular update on my life!
Enjoy!
xx Zara
