7-08-05 "The past is a continually changing slosh of memories and experiences that we can neither touch nor learn from until it has passed us over; cannot glean from until mulled over, ground up, and sucked of its essentials, the rest spit out and forgotten; a vat of multi-colored sludge that sloshes up the sides, brimming and spilling over, pouring wetly upon us." -AB
Just to let the new people know, I am a Vegan gal, been in Las Vegas for just over fifteen years now, and I think that fact influences my writing a lot more than I realize. I dunno, maybe we'll see it later. Anyway, I'm in college right now, studying Anthropology. I'm going to be (guess, go on, try!) a writer, writing big, ol' thick, boring books. Maybe I'll teach some college classes when I get famous and important, but don't count on it. I'll be twenty-twoin December, so everyone had better pitch in and buy me a jeep for my birthday. Or a mini cooper.
Hey, did anyone else realize we live in the Pacific Time Zone?? Why didn't anyone TELL me?? All this time I was thinking it was Mountain, and then we tried configuring Jodi's computer clock. I thought Pacific Time was the zone that Hawaii and Alaska cruised in. (Turns out, that's called Alaskan/Hawaiian time. Go fig.) This is going to take some time. I might need to be alone for a minute...
About my stories, I've got like 16 here now. A Fantasty Story is about this knight who saves a woman from being raped. It's only got a few chapters, because I've only got a bare outline thought out, and I'm kinda lazy, so don't be on the edge for major updates, unless you end up e-mailing me. For some reason, when people e-mail me, I take it that they care. Like a lot. Another Fantasy Story is also plotted out, but again, the laziness factor. But they're both good stories, so I'd recommend reading them, but then again, there's just a little bias there.
I have two poetry collections, and some of the poems are in both. I like poetry, it speaks differently than stories, sometimes more profound. Anyway, I don't care if you read them or not, just a little sensitive about them all, but it's all good.
My story about Rebecca is a bit underdeveloped. It's going to be worked on, though, so nobody freak out. Unless you want to freak out. Why, by all means, freak away.
Salem Crefth is one of my favorites. It's been a while since I've updated, I know, but hey, I'm a poor college student. Lemme alone. Anyway, I definitely recommend this one to anyone with a thirst for fanasty-type stuff. It has nothing to do with any witch trials. :D
Delta Lynn is an on-going thing. The first episode is all done, and there will be more. I've only got ideas for the next one, though, so if any Star Trek freaks want to lend a hand in the idea box, by all means, say something. It's not going to be a true Trek-type thing, but it kinda follows the same concept because, well, they're in space. Whatever, I like it.
Hydrophobic Hero still has lots of work to be done to it. Yes, I realize that as of this point, there is nothing to suggest that the hero is hydrophobic. But! There will be water, I promise.
The Universe Girls is in the process of being updated. It's got a huge chunk ready to be typed up and edited. It's that whole laziness factor thing kicking in again. And I'm not quite sure how I'm going to map it all out. Because it's got such a long history, I'm not sure if I want to make it into what seems a never-ending novel, or put in separate chunks, like Delta Lynn. I dunno. We'll figure it out later.
Travis Birkett just might prove to be one of the worst stories in history. The only, ONLY reason I haven't taken it off and burnt it is because of DancinDramaFreak, who has serious mental problems. But she likes the story, so I've promised to work on it some more, and I keep my promises, even if they're really, really stupid. But I love DDF, so I'll try not to let her down.
"When it Hurt to Play" is about a friend of mine, who's name is changed, of course (he's not REALLY dead, I promise. Well, last time I talked to him, which was when I graduated. So I really don't know. But it's a WORK OF FICTION *smiles*). There's actually a really funny story behind it, and if you're interested, I'll tell ya. But anyway, I've always really like the story, so hopefully you will, too. It's a short story, so that's the only reason it's done and the others aren't. Quit laughing at me!
Working Title -it's been changed to It's a Singh Thing. Okay, this is my dad's story. It's a great story, and I'm having fun with it. The next part is going to take a while. I'm struggling with getting the words out and stuff, so I'd ask for y'all to be patient. But he's also got a few more stories that we've discussed, so they'll be up here later. Much later. Maybe never! Nah, that's too pessimistic for me.
The Skateboard Dilemma was something a group in my creative writing class did. It's really funny, kinda silly, and it was for a puppet show we did. I did most of the writing, but I am in no way claiming it for my own. I played Ron, the skitzo (of course), and Joe, and she was the transvestite. Or something like that. It's been a while. But it's silly and fun, so go ahead and read it. It won't kill you, you know.
The Adventures of Angry Bob and Killer Bob is about my best friend Nick an' me, and we go on this bank-robbing spree, and we, well, we rob banks. It's going to be pretty long, novel length, but I've got most of it mapped out. As for this moment, I've got about seven or eight chapters written out, but I don't want to put up any more until I get someone to read them in context, because I don't know if the story line will work. It's an opinion thing, I guess. However, pretty much no one has read the dern thing! It's an important story to me, and I want to put the rest up, but I need help! So someone, anyone, I don't even have to know you! Someone e-mail me and offer to read this thing for me! I'll give you a dollar! Sheesh, I'll give you ten dollars! Okay, well, keep in mind I'm a poor college student, so maybe like fifty cents. But still. You'd have my eternal gratitude for helping me launch my wonderful great novel I've been keeping inside of me for like five years now. SO E-MAIL ME!
The Little Pony is a silly little story, but you can read it anyway. It took a good thirty seconds to get it all out. I didn't even write it. I was playing solitaire, it came to me, I typed it up, uploaded it, and voila! And someone wrote me a review, and it said; Ar. Am I supposed to already know what that means? Because I don't. Maybe I'm a bit slow. It's happened before, you know, so I wouldn't put it past myself.
Lastly, Teppich Fresson is about the Holocaust. It's my baby, and I've actually got the whole thing mapped out in my mind, but I'm still struggling on how to go from here. The title's in German, probably horribly misspelled (I've already been corrected on it), but you will understand it when it's all said and done, I promise. Anyway, I really do like the story, it's one of the first I've put up here, so hopefully you'll like it.
Well, that's it for now. Feel free to e-mail me with questions, comments, suggestions, or to just because.
Does it sound like I'm begging for e-mails? Am I really more pathetic than I thought? Sheesh.
Love and junk,
Angry Bob
P.S. Okay, so the most terrible thing in the world happened. I (finally!!!) updated my AdvenTURes of Angry Bob and Killer Bob, and I uploaded the wrong chapter (Chap Three). So I tried to replace it, but instead it saved it as Chapter Four. So when (if?) reading it, go from Chapter Two to Chapter Four. I know, it's terrible. But I don't know how to fix it, so if anyone does, PLEASE e-mail me or something and take pity on Pathetic Bob. You're awesome and you know it.
P.P.S. Chris is back!!!! Yay!
And he can't bowl for nothin'. ;p
I'm going to be starting to put up (was any of that grammatically correct?) my dad's other stories. The one I've been mostly working on is a story that right now is called Layla. And yes, I do mean the song by Eric Clapton. So everyone listen to it while they wait for it, because it's about fifty hours long. The song, I mean.
Soooo, I haven't updated in a while. Like forever. So I'm updating now. Just to let ya'll know, I'll be out of the country for about eighteen months, starting later this year. So I won't be putting more stories up. Not like I do that now. But you know what I mean. But you can still e-mail me and review all my stuffs, I just won't reply 'til I get back. Too bored of my stuff? Check out the greatness of DancinDramaFreak and Christopher Willings. They coo.
Peace & Love
