Ellipsis is a college student and fantasy fan. She has lurked at ff.net for years, but has only recently gathered the courage to post anything. She spends her life doing whatever college students do. When bored, she has been known to do really strange things, like write fanfic, and update bio pages while writing entirely in third person. Her ongoing obsession is Tolkien, though that may change, eventually (not very likely though.) If there is any other info about Ellipsis you need to know, feel free to email her.

If it is not already evident from her fics, Ellipsis has an unhealthy obsession with the Elves of Nargothrond, who she feels are far too ignored and maligned in fanfic. She admits to being the proud owner of a Gwindor and a Gelmir fangirl banner (stowed safely in a corner, so no worries)

Other favorite elves include (but are not limited to): Legolas, Elrond, Celebrian, Eol, Caranthir, Maeglin, Glorfindel, Idril, Luthien, and Tuor (who is a mortal but who is counted among the Eldar)

Her favorite mostals include: Faramir, Denethor, Beren Camlost, Morwen Eledwhen, Cirion, Eowyn, and Eomer

ELLIPSIS'S REVIEW POLICY & VIEWS ON FANFIC IN GENERAL:

Ellipsis would like to state that Tolkien is the Master, that his world is magnificent, and that she is PROUD to be called a "Canon-thumping purist" She believes that when writing fanfic, it is important to respect the characterizations, plots, timelines, languages, SPELLINGS (yes, this is a pet peeve. Ellipsis would like to know if it would really kill an author to take that extra minute to flip open the book and double check)etc. As strange as it sounds, Ellipsis also labors under the misconception that grammar and spelling have a place in writing. And that it is a good place.

ON REVIEWS:
Ellipsis loves reviews, good or bad. She makes a conscious effort to read and review the writings of her reviewers; however real life prevents her from always doing so in a timely manner. Ellipsis welcomes criticism - she is not an English major, never will be, and so loves it when others can correct any grammar/spelling mistakes she may have. Ellipsis is also concerned with canon, and will hero-worship anyone who corrects a canon error. She does her best to edit stories based on review comments.

ON RECEIVING REVIEWS FROM ELLIPSIS:

If you are reading this because you believe Ellipsis flamed you, she begs you to consider the differences between a flame and constructive criticism. She would also like to state that no, she did not point out errors because she has a sadistic wish to see you die, or because she hates your writing. Likely, she thinks you have talent, and only wishes to see improvement. She tries to keep her comments polite, but she will get upset if you violate canon without having a good reason to do so. No, Legolas romances do not count as good reasons. Ellipsis thanks you for asking.

Ellipsis hopes that her fics reflect her statements, because she does not want to be a bloody hypocrite.
