I'm Alyssa, but you can call me Aly.
I'm 16 and currently in my senior year of high school.
I'm Canadian (and no, I don't live in an igloo).
I eat pudding with a fork.
I'm usually a relatively easy-going and agreeable person, but I also have a bit of a temper.
I love Bones, Grey's Anatomy, and Gilmore Girls. To the point of obsession. Seriously.
I have a green laptop. Her name is Adell (because she's "a Dell"...get it?). Yeah, I name inanimate objects. All the time.
I hate math. Anything beyond basic calculations gives me a headache.
I get super-paranoid after watching scary movies, especially the Final Destination trilogy.
I play the trumpet. (His name is Benny.)
I also sing. Multi-talented, I know.
I say certain words way too often (such as "seriously", "ridiculous", "intense", and "snapshow").
Giving me a review pretty much guarantees that I will love you forever.
I'm currently putting everything on hold, since I have absolutely no time between school, work, homework, choir, volunteering, family, friends, and this little thing called sleep. I plan on resuming each of my projects eventually, just not right now. So the only updates you will probably only see on here for the next little while are angsty little one-shots that I write when my head is about to explode (because those ones are actually my best work in my opinion, strange as it is).
Actually, I'm considering taking off some of the work I have on here, because I've gotten very paranoid about someone coming along and stealing one of my ideas. Now, a part of me knows that anything I write probably isn't even worth stealing anyway, but it's still a concern of mine. So if something that you read before is suddenly missing from my page, it's because I decided to pull it, just to be safe. No one really reviews on this site anymore anyways, so I don't really see a point in posting...
Stories
Lily - This story is being totally rewritten. The very basic concept will remain, but other than that, don't get too attached. Even the characters' names are changing. This is still one of my top priorities as far as writing goes; for some reason, I just can't seem to get it out of my head, which is probably a good thing.
World, Meet Zooey Cheeseman - this is my kind of random story on here. I do have a bit of an overall plot line for it (it's going to be a series with maybe three or four books), but I don't really know exactly where this is going. It's pretty much just a place where I plan on sticking all of my rants about the people I see on a daily basis that I really can't stand (there's a lot of those in high school). It should be pretty entertaining when I get more chapters written.
Anneliese - I have considered just giving up on this story several times, but then I go and read my plot lines for the books (yes, I'm planning on making it a series) and it seems like it's way too good of an idea to just throw away (and the day I willingly hand over one of my ideas for a book series to someone else is the day Hell freezes over). Currently, though, I am a little preoccupied with other work, so for now this one is on a hiatus. Who knows when I will get around to it, but trust me, I will finish writing the entire series one of these days...
Myra's Amusement Park Adventure - just ignore this one all together. It's currently on hold, and it's really just a wacky story my younger sister and I came up with one day. It's based on her favorite Barbies, and we were both really crazy that day, so yeah...it would be in your best interest to just skim right over this one. I hope to one day turn it into a series of childrens' books, but for now it's just a random...thing.
Sneakers and Magazines - I wrote this four years ago, which I find insane because I still remember writing it and everything. Anyway, this is basically a story I wrote when I was in seventh grade, mad at my cousin for not spending enough time with me, and really wanting a laptop. Read it if you want, but don't expect too much. I'm considering eventually revising this, because it is a pretty cute premise for a short story (if I do say so myself), but for now it's just a story I wrote when I was eleven.
