The Adventure Portal: The result of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) 2006, a novel that I am proud to say I completed! Still rough in many respects, but I hope that it can nonetheless be enjoyed by those who might stumble across it here. Since I haven't spent "as long" with the characters, they are not nearly as precious to me as those from The Flower of Light (which I continue to think about and brainstorm for regularly), but I am glad to have met them nonetheless - and am sad in many ways that we had to part so soon (besides editing). This story is basically sci-fi, I have decided, and is about Kaea, whose attitude is not the best but who is in for quite an adventure when she receives a laptop with two odd computer programs on it.

The Flower of Light: Now being worked on... I'm planning to start this one again
This is a story I came up with based on the end of a dream. It tells about a girl named Kayona, an optimistic teen who has become deeply depressed. When she attempts suicide, she ends up in a world completely different from her own. There she meets Lily, Arthur, Jimmy, and Franz. They are in search of the flower that is said will be the salvation of their world. But they have limited time... There's also a romance plot in it. Enjoy it! I am always trying to think of ways to make it better.

Winfae:
A new story whose idea really came a part that I may never actually include. Melarose is perfect- always the optimistic, spirited, well-rounded student that others have come to expect. All the other students in her school are completely different, however, so when time came to chose someone to be an exchange student to Winfae, she was the obvious choice. But Winfae is completely different than what she expected - full of adventure and surprise, and most all, magic...

A Christian girl who wants to become a writer. : ) Either that or, more likely since you can't live on that until you publish something awesome, a math teacher (what a contrast, eh?). Or at least, I'm majoring in math (and now computer science as well - go figure!).

An anime otaku!!

I live in Philly, which is in Pennsylvania (that would be in the good old US of A). I go to college about five and a half hours away - I'll leave it to you to guess where.

I LOVE to read!! So of course I love this site. : )

I am currently reading many textbooks because I am a college student - and a double major. Time for reading?? Ha! Even during the summer, I find my free time in quite a crunch. But the big reality? I've started a couple different books this summer, one's that I expected to really enjoy, and have not found myself motivated through them nearly as fast as I thought would happen. So I'm not really currently reading anything... (this line is updated to be kept somewhat current)

YOU MUST READ The Princess Bride by William Goldman and Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine! As far as I know these are the BEST BOOKS IN THE WORLD!! for The Princess Bride, if you've seen the movie or you haven't, it doesn't matter just READ IT!! And Ella Enchanted is a retelling of Cinderella and it's GREAT! (Ella Enchanted was recently made into a decent movie, but it is so far from the book... if you've seen the movie, read the book to see the original story) You'll really enjoy them, I'm sure. -
