"And when the day arrives, I'll become the sky, and I'll become the sea. And the sea will come to kiss me, for I am going home. Nothing can stop me now."
Hello. I'm fragmented waterfalls. I'm from North Carolina and I'm currently working on a few poems I'm doing. Mostly every piece of my writing will be poetry so don't expect stories from me, unless by some miracle I come up with some idea for a story, but that probably won't happen. I am a writer who finds inspiration where many other writers would and would not, and I find that letting yourself fall into the beauty you admire and love is the most spiritual connection an artist can achieve. I listen to music as a creative outlet for my poetry, and I write when I am inspired to do so.
Just some added info...
Name: Ty Whitley
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Hobbies: Poetry, Music (Nine Inch Nails, preferrably)
Occupation: Unknown Poet
Sub-Penname: evenfall13
Religion: Unaffiliated
Muses: A certain someone, art, flesh and skin, subtlety, reality (or rather the perceptions thereof), and any other piece of writing that might attract me to said piece or author alike.
When it comes to those that have influenced me, I have come to understand that not everyone or everything is as tangible and solid as it may seem, it doesn't matter how much you may have as long as what you have means something to you, and what good is a voice if it is never heard or used? I've learned that words mean nothing if you can't speak them or voice your feelings behind them, and opinions are useless when not expressed; to fight for what you believe in...now that is worth more than the wealth of a single man.
"Risk! Risk anything! Care no more for the opinions of others, for those voices. Do the hardest thing on earth for you. Act for yourself. Face the truth." -Katherine Mansfield (1888-1923)
"You have a voice. How are you going to use it?" -A.I.R
Likes: The ocean, Poetry, Music, Anime, Trent Reznor's work, and any art (especially if it speaks to me or if it's an abstract piece)
Dislikes: Water (but, I've somehow found solace in it recently), Marilyn Manson (nothing personal really, but I just don't think he can reach out to different people with his music. Between mentor and prodigy, he just can't touch people's souls like Trent Reznor can).
Favorite Game Series: The Silent Hill series (Silent Hill 2 in particular), Metal Gear series (Metal Gear Solid saga included), Castlevania series, Resident Evil series, and the Kingdom Hearts series.
Favorite Game(s): Silent Hill 2, Metal Gear Solid 2, Resident Evil 2, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2.
News: Silent Hill V currently in development. "Akira Yamaoka hinted at a return to the psychological roots that were present in Silent Hill 2 and that the team was interested in setting the game's atmosphere in a sunny environment gone wrong. In April 2007, Yamaoka told GamePro Magazine that he wasn't able to comment much about the story or progress at the moment, but confirmed that Silent Hill V would resemble the second installment in terms of the way the player is directed and the characters' behavior". -Taken from Wikipedia's page for Silent Hill V.
Favorite Anime(s): Digimon, Cowboy Bebop, Excel Saga, Serial Experiments Lain
Favorite Show(s): MAD TV, Mystery Science Theater 3000
Favorite Band(s): Nine Inch Nails (Trent's work has just been pushing me to a more evolutionary process in my writing and it is helping me take a more broader view on life. Where most casual NIN fans, and even some of the more older fans of his work, may not find the beauty (or the appreciation) in his softer creations, I find hope and peace in these works of art). Also Toad the Wet Sprocket, Smashing Pumpkins and Faith No More.
Other bands I like: Too many to name, but some include Mr. Bungle, Iron Maiden, Rage Against the Machine, and Alice In Chains.
Favorite Music Albums: Angel Dust (Faith No More), The Fragile (Nine Inch Nails), And All That Could Have Been/Still (Nine Inch Nails), fear (Toad the Wet Sprocket), Mr. Bungle (self-titled)
Favorite time of Nine Inch Nails creativity and halo production: The Fragile era and albums released relating to The Fragile (i.e. remixes and previously unreleased tracks)
Favorite Music Genre(s): Alternative (favorite genre), Rock, Grunge, Metal, Punk, some Indie Rock
Favorite era of music: Early to mid 1990's alternative rock scene (Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, Faith No More, Jane's Addiction, L7, Soundgarden, etc.). Known to some as the time of "memory making" in music.
Rock Genre: Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam (they've strayed away from Grunge but I still like them; they're middle stuff), Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M, Temple of the Dog.
Metal Genre: Iron Maiden, Slayer, Metallica
Punk Genre: Dead Kennedys, The Ramones, The Clash, Sex Pistols
Alternative Genre: Faith No More, Smashing Pumpkins
Indie Rock Genre: Death Cab for Cutie, Counting Crows
Favorite Genre: Psychological Horror
Favorite Movies: Jacob's Ladder, Shawshank Redemption, Seven, What Dreams May Come, Requiem For A Dream
Thoroughly Enjoyed Movies: The Lord of the Rings series, Silent Hill (that's a given, considering how horrible the movie was executed and concieved. It's here only for being a movie adaptation of the series, nothing more.), 1408, Hard Candy, Hellraiser series, Children of Men.
Favorite Actors: Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman
Favorite Actress: Ellen Page
Songs that inspire me the most: Gunshots by Computer (Trent Reznor and Saul Williams), Farewell and Goodnight (Smashing Pumpkins), Tonight, Tonight (Smashing Pumpkins), Adrift and at Peace (Nine Inch Nails), The Day The World Went Away (Nine Inch Nails), Hunger Strike (Temple of the Dog), La Mer (Nine Inch Nails), Somewhat Damaged (Nine Inch Nails), Pilgrimage (Nine Inch Nails), Man in the Box (Alice In Chains), Off He Goes (Pearl Jam), White Picket Fence (Five For Fighting), Malpractice (Faith No More), Lost in Hollywood (System of a Down).

I previously said in the past that I didn't believe in love and nor did I cherish it. Like many writers, I have evolved and so has my writing and philosophy. No longer do I hate love, I actually would embrace it now and welcome it with open arms. And like my previous poems (Color Blind, Brick, New World Order, Unity of Sin, etc.)I have come to terms that the world isn't a horrible place; it can be as beautiful as it wants. Sure, life does suck but you don't continue ranting and raving about its negatives. You got to look at the positives as well. If you're always fixated on the world as a hellish place and not looking at it from different angles then that only means you're simple-minded and naive. The same goes for any other subject. Now I do understand that some people have been through some unholy scenarios in their lives and that's reasonable when you see the world as a cold, heartless place but don't stay content on just that one feeling for excess periods of time. You have to evolve otherwise you won't be a better writer, or a more understanding person for that matter. I realize that I'm just saying this to help some of you understand me better and I know there are probably hundreds of profiles with this exact message but I just wanted to put in my say.

In other words, I'll update my future titles list often with new stories and poems I'm doing (just in case you got confused).
Adiosu nanpitomo... (just in case you were wondering, this means "goodbye everyone")
I also hold the many beliefs of past authors dearly to me as well. I am a transcendentalist, romanticist and individualist (might seem a bit obscure) too. I hope you all can enjoy some of the works I have provided here.
-Quotes that I believe express human beings. Any age, be it a young adult or an elder:

-Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948)
"A wise man can see more from the bottom of a well than a fool can from a mountain top."
-Unknown
"We don't receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey that no one can take us or spare us."
-Marcel Proust (1871-1922)
"I'm an idealist. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way."
-Carl Sandburg (1878-1967), Incidentals (1907)
"I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority."
-E.B. White (1899-1985)
Notes: I just want everyone to realize that I'm still writing, but I might not post a few poems until I feel the time is right. I'm going through a transitional phase in my life right now. So, do and don't expect many poems from me unless stated or posted otherwise.

"Because I cannot find
A man, nay, though I walked from here to Ind,
Either in town or country who'll engage
To give his youth in barter for my age;
And therefore must I keep my old age still,
As long a time as it shall be God's will.
Not even Death, alas! my life will take;
Thus restless I my wretched way must make,
And on the ground, which is my mother's gate,
I knock with my staff early, aye, and late,
And cry: 'O my dear mother, let me in!
Lo, how I'm wasted, flesh and blood and skin!
Alas! When shall my bones come to their rest?
Mother, with you fain would I change my chest,
That in my chamber so long time has been,
Aye! For a haircloth rag to wrap me in!'
But yet to me she will not show that grace,
And thus all pale and withered is my face."
-Canterbury Tales, Pardoner's Tale (first); The old man talking to the three young fellows
"You don't stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because YOU STOP LAUGHING." -Michael Pritchard
"I can take it
Sideways
Sometimes
Some things
Feel like
I'm on the other side
Waves
Of every feeling ever felt
Hold it close
(So) I can taste it
I've watched this scene a thousand times
And in my head
This is how it all begins
Yes, I am becoming
And this is how it all begins
What did you expect?
This is not an exit
This has begun
I can almost see
The blackest eyes
The new flesh
A new disguise
...Welcoming...
Please
Give it to me
I can take it
Give it to me
I can take it"
