I think it's very funny that most of the stories I have listed under my 'favorite stories' section are mostly Hermione/Severus pairings. The funny part is that I never write for that ship (save one small ficlet) and in fact I hate the pairing. It's very out of character for Snape, in every facet that I can imagine. But there is something undeniably romantic and beautiful about two intellectuals - one dark, one light - coming together and I suppose that is why fanfiction authors everywhere write about it.

Almost all fanfiction that I read is Severus focused. Certainly everything I write is. My favorites will always be those where he is most in character. Fanfiction is a 'just for fun' supplement to Canon afterall, so the more 'realistic' the better.
