After putting Signs of Earin on a hiatus for a VERY long time, and filling myself with new info and new experiences and whatnot, I have revised SoE entirely, renovating characters, adding and subtracting characters, changing the plotline completely, and building a solid history for the setting: Ardor, the largest continent on Earin. The Prologue will be under way shortly and Chapter 1 is being written by hand in a notebook as of now. This I have to balance with my four fanfictions, my fanfiction-in-waiting, art, school, friends, family, and the upcoming holidays. Jesus the Nazarene was born in March. This is the Winter Solstice we're celebrating from the days of old.

A brief summary of Kingdom of Nightmare:

Irish twins Damon and Rowena Shannon are ending their junior year of high school and they figure that its a time to finally relax. But on the day they invite their friends over for a party, their mother brings word of their eccentric English uncle Herbert: he's coming, and he's coming with his rune books. His obsession over the mysterious runes have driven everybody in the family insane but something shocking happens when Rowena's friend Ishta Meshigilga interprets and reads a text. Within seconds, Damon, Rowena, Ishta, and their other friends Irving Wayne, Joshua Griever, Motsu Hirenawa, and Quincy Horowitz find themselves thrown into a world strangely parallel to Earth: Earin.
They've materialized in a bad time, though. They have come to the outskirts of the empire Dirgeunmorg, ruled by the tyrannical King Oberon and his white wilddrake Maudroon. King Oberon is searching for a child of prophecy, believing that she would bring him immortality and godhood, and the seaside town they appeared nearby, Avlonne, was his latest target.
In that town, the eight teenagers find themselves instantaneously drawn to the town's best fighter, Roan; his best friend, Keira; and the wisewoman, Temerith. Temerith seems to find Ishta quite intriguing, strangely enough, and begins to interrogate her. The teenagers stay at Avlonne the next few days, learning of the world they live in and its rich, violent history. During these next few days, other strangers come into town. Avlonne was a small place but within a week they had attracted more foreigners than in a year.
This gathering of strangers is not coincidental. They're here for a reason: King Oberon is searching for Keira and news are abroad that there was a rogue astride a dragon free from the command of the King's Dragon Knights. THat rogue has come to Avlonne.
The perfect conditions for war. All that's needed is for someone to light the dry kindling gathering at the border of Dirgeunmorg and the rebellious merchant state of Pharos-Tegadora (name soon to change).

"In bitter rain you walk on your lonely way.
The starless night veils the bright of the day.
The cold of the winter drives spring into sleep.
Impassable are the mountain high and river deep.

But the dreams speak in a voice you yearn.
Within you crumble but the voice is firm.
You hear the calling of your name that touches your soul.
You hear the voice, calling you home.

Let the sun shine down on your weary soul,
May the moon guide you on the endless road.
Let the starlight gleam through your fears,
May the wind dry your falling tears.

Though the journey is not over and there is nowhere to go.
Hopeless and lost, treading through heather and snow,
I hear a call, from the dark of the perilous road,
Calling my name, calling me there, calling me home."

-" The Lonely Way."
