It has been a while since I have updated this site. Not because I stopped writing but because I just didnt do it. But also I am working on stuff I actuallty want to publish and I dont want to loose it by placing on a writing site. So as November is Novel in a Month writing. I am doing what I have to keep up the 1660 word a day writing before I get there.

So as it happens I blog...(who doesn't any more) and one of post I follow is something called Plinky Prompts. I have a new story I am uploading from there called Second Thoughts. Then one of the blog writers I follow does a prompt a day and a the story from her was uploaded today called "The Clean Up"

Then there is the one I wrote when I found out that I was going to loose my dog to cancer. That was a dark day indeed and my writing showed it. Which is funny because if you looked at my work previously it was pretty light. Not that I am complaining I wanted to lean mor to the middle.

Also as you notice most of the newer pieces I am posting are short. That is because I am working with Flash fiction. I am working on trying to hold myself to a certian word count. Right now it is short becaus I have done the huge ones in the past ... although to be fair they are fan fiction... which is posted at fiction press's sister site ... fanfiction.com if you are interested. It is still listed under velvet elfin (which I will be changing soon)

After loosing my laptop with many of my original stories (and of course no backups) I am slowly trying to repiece my library of works. Yes I lost almost everything. If it wasn't that somethings had been mailed and I had saved the sent folder I would have nothing. As it is I am trying to begin to write again... (I was so upset at loosing everything... that I DID NOT want to touch writing again.) But like all true story tellers the need to create overroad the dissipointment. If I can find more I will be posting. (Hopefully some of my other works are still on paper and I can retype them in.)
