Author has written 2 stories for Sci-Fi.

I'm IV Skard. Welcome to my branch of the FictionPress tree!

My friends and family keep asking me what I write about. I'm not so sure. So I've been thinking about it. First off, I write alternate-universe stories, or social science-fiction. I love the softer, more political and cultural side of sci-fi. So that's the genre. Theme-wise, I write about Society, Ideology, Religion, Identity and Human Nature, You know. Stuff like that.

About me.
I am an absolutely faithless Norwegian hedonist living in Hungary, where I'm just about to graduate from university. Just like inks and graphite is my artistic medium, English is my artistic language. I write everything in English, although I might translate some of my shortstories into Norwegian. If you want me to.

About my stories.
I've been writing forever, and always about things that I obsess about. I started writing about police and thieves when I was a kid, then went on exclusively about utopian futures for a while, before I discovered the fantastic game Myst and reinvented the wheel of fanfiction. I wrote a fanfiction story from Lord of the Rings and had it flambeed on a hate blog for fanfictions, which put me off it. I haven't picked up fanfiction since. Which is a pity, because fanfiction is great practice for aspiring writers and should really be shown at least a modicum of respect. In 2007 I started to plot down and write the Matriarch story. When I have other ideas, I write novellas. And that's all. That's where I'm at.

The Matriarch is the first of the four novels that explore my storyverse in detail. It is a storyverse which I've been developping since I was little. My other stories are free-standing novellas which are either elaborating on that storyverse, or they're about Islam. Also I can't help drawing and painting, with the Matriarch storyverse providing ninety percent of my inspiration. Islam provides the remainder ten percent.

The Matriarch has been written and rewritten and torn down and rebuilt over and over. Currently I'm rewriting it from scratch. What I have now is the current draft of what I will have published one fine day. The storyverse is close to two decades in the making, so it is reasonably complex by now. I have an external site which elaborates on the characters and background concepts -- Aki Benetah -- if you're interested. Just don't steal anything, or I'll kill you with a hammer.

And yeah, I do commit the super-silly webcomic Hellomuffin as well (just be aware that the Hellomuffin-Shaka is not the Matriarch-Shaka. They are different Shakas. They are not the same Shaka. Ie., they are two different Shakas.) The comic hasn't been updated in a while, but there are some fifty strips there if you want to take a look.

I love comments and honest crits. Don't hesitate to contact me. Unlike Roberto I'm a very user-friendly robot.

Copyrights.
All the ideas, concepts, characters and related as presented in these stories are Copyrighted. Everything I have written is demonstrably first created by me.
