Author has written 5 stories for Fantasy, General, Young Adult, and Essay.

Hello there! I'm a university student who loves to write in their spare time! To those who knew me before Oct 08 or so, my author name used to be Stratticus, but I thought perhaps it sounded too hostile and burly relative to my stories...? Haha

I hope to keep updates regular (every other week +/- a week). I sincerely plan on finishing The Magelet's Vow (my baby epic) and Vander, while Here I Stand is being temporarily shelved for extra work. Sometimes I'll put up a short story or essay, which I think might be of interest to others.

If you want to check out character sketches I have a few posted on deviantart.com under the username ubiquite. So far, there's a inked sketch of Szarath and two lovers from The Magelet's Vow, as well as a quick sketch of Jane from Vander.

I'm the kind of author who writes for pleasure (and hopefully for greater ambitions one day), but it is always nice to hear if readers enjoy the work as well (hint).

If you want to learn about me...

One day I thought, wouldn't it be nice if I introduced myself here? I guess it would be polite. Here goes nothing:

Personality highlights: paradoxical. Hopefully in a good way.

Inspirations: Many things, of course. A few to speak of...

- I've travelled a good bit, and I like studying (social/ethnic) cultures.

- Music. You might see me list a song (or two) in certain stories. Like a theme song :P

- Books. Highlights, from childhood to today: Ella Enchanted, Tamora Pierce Tortall series, The House of the Spirits, The Kite Runner, The Hero and the Crown, Fifth Business.

- Movies. Highlights: Spirited Away, Lord of the Rings, Mulan, Blood Diamond, and Atonement.

- Whistling. That actually inspires me.

Feels weird talking about myself, but I hope my inspirations alone has fairly introduced myself to the curious :)

Dec 1, 08 note:

Hey there, just wanted to apologize about the halted update pace. Exam week is fast approaching, and in addition to preparing for my exams I've had loads of midterms...so yeah. No free time. When winter holidays start I should start updating again :)
