Author has written 8 stories for General, Fantasy, Romance, Life, and Supernatural.

Hey! Call me Dii (pronounced like the letter 'D').

I've been a member of fictionpress since it broke away from fanfiction.net, but I haven't updated in years. Until now, I hadn't done any serious writing since, well, the last time I posted. I adore writing random, meaningless scenes that only make sense to me, and I write those often, so hopefully they've helped improve my style, if not my plots or characterization.

I love to write science fiction/fantasy and I'm never quite sure which my stories are. When it comes to romance, I'm an equal opportunity girl. You can never know if it's going to be boy/boy, girl/girl, boy/girl, boy/boy/girl, girl/girl/boy, boy/boy/boy, girl/girl/girl, boy/hermaphroditic alien, girl/hermaphroditic alien, etc. My stories are always living creatures that evolve on their own no matter how I originally planned them to be, and that goes for romance as well. I'll make sure to put a warning if there's something that might offend, but I will not put a warning for a simple, sweet gay/lesbian relationship. That should not offend, and if it does, don't read my stuff, cause it's sure to sneak in somehow.

I try to review all my reviewers, so if you're an author, make sure to sign in if you review me. I despise flamers, and will promptly delete any and all flames. Constructive criticism is more than welcome though. If you don't like my stuff, tell me why. (Again, if you don't like it just because of a gay/lesbian relationship, don't bother telling me. Just don't read.)

Um, I guess that's it. I hope you enjoy.

Peace out,
Dii

Status Update I've suspended work on my story Destiny for now. I've been having trouble going back to it, and I think I've lost the plot. I may have to rework it completely, but for now, I'm just taking a break (sorry, Luna). Currently I've been working on a couple of ideas for a post-apocalyptic stories, one heavily influenced by Firefly. I don't know if they're going anywhere, so I'll follow them along for a while. If it seems I've got something, I'll post it.

Status Update 9/4/08
Thanks to my uberly cool new cell phone, I've been able to sneak in writing any time I've had free time, which is how the first chapter of Inside the Open Door has come into being. When I wrote the prologue, I really had no idea of what direction the story would be going in. I had accidentally said "inside the open door," instead of "open the inside door," and pow! a concept was born. But as I said, I had no idea for the actual plot until recently when I found myself with nothing more than a new phone on which I could write documents (XD). So expect the first chapter by Sunday at the absolute latest.

For all you back at school, I sympathize. Hang tough, mes amis.

Status Update 10/1/08
Okay, so I'm a big, fat liar. I didn't anticipate my semester being so much work. Chapter 1 of Inside is almost finished, I promise. As for Love and Loss, that was written between classes. It kinda just poured right out of me. So here it is, and if Chapter 1 of Inside doesn't show up soon, it's because my brain has turned into complete mush and is bleeding out of my ears.

Status Update 10/13/08
I do think that my brain has finally turned into mush, but it hasn't yet bled out of my ears- which is something, at least. I keep forgetting to upload Chapter 1 of Inside from my phone. I would do it now, but I'm at school (the one morning I don't check my e-mail before class is the one morning that I just wanted to roll over and go back to sleep and is the one morning I could have. Isn't college grand?) and I don't have the USB cable. Since I don't have another class until 11:30, I've decided to work on a little ficlet I started during Greek Civ while I was high on the lack of sleep. Here's how my inspiration process went

Prof: Does anyone know what a city-state is?

Class: Half asleep ...

Me: thinking, after losing sleep doing psychology homework all week A city-state. The state of being a city. Internal giggle Hey that's good. Instant story idea. Another internal giggle. Instant story idea, just add plot! Lord, I really need sleep.

It was actually rather similar to my inspiration for Inside the Open Door, but I was running on rather more sleep at the time. So maybe I'll be finished with the new story (which I've tentatively been calling The City-State) before I need to go back to class.

Just add plot!

I promise I'm going to sleep the minute I get home.

Status Update 11/17/08
Re-reading my previous status updates, I'm strongly reminded of a Douglas Adams quote: "I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they fly by." Every time I try to give myself a deadline, I end up ignoring it. I've been writing The City-State when I have time, but it's rather longer than I anticipated. It's still gonna be a short story, but it's already three times the length of Love and Loss (not that it's hard to be longer than Love and Loss). It's close to being finished, though, so you can expect it... sometime. Again, it was inspired by Kelly Link's stories in Magic For Beginners.

And I made some minor punctuation edits to Love and Loss.

Status Update 2/2/09
Okay, City-State is finally finished. You can thank my professor that sent the "Class is canceled" e-mail at 7:37. I leave at 7:30. It was great sarcasm. I finished an assignment for my I/O class, checked my e-mail, printed out notes, did French homework and was left with nothing to do until my next class at 1. Not wanting to give up my prime seat in the computer lab, I finished City-State by 12. I would have posted it then, but the computer lab was crowded and they tend to throw people out when it doesn't look like you're doing anything important. So be thankful I woke up at 6 when I didn't have to, waited for a shuttle in the cold morning when I didn't have to, and climb up (and down) three stories when I didn't have to. Otherwise, it might be another four months before you heard anything from me.
