Hey. Here's my message to ya'll.
I'm a fifteen year old girl from West Connecticut. I play basketball on a national level. I am at the top of my class for acedemics. I write for magazines and am the top writer in my school. I'm in the midst my girl scout gold award- harder to get than the eagle scout. I have a job, at fifteen, which pays my $20/hour. I am considered beautiful and amazing looking by everyone I meet.
On the outside, everything seems perfect.
If you take the time to know me, you'd see something else. I may have the looks, the smarts, the athletics, the everything; but you don't know me. My poetry may give a bit or so away, but still everyone thinks it's a fly-by.
I want everyone to see the truth. Like me, there are so many out there who seem to have it made, everything perfect. But if you look behind the curtains of my stage's life, you'd see the naked truth.
So keep this in mind when you read my writing- it's the only thing linking me to reality. Becasue my life is my writing- my life is the dream I have at night, the world I'm in is that I write of, the people I meet aren't real. My reality is this.
So know this- the writing is me. I'm lucky- there are thousands of others who want to express themselves the same, but can't.
I believe.
