I'm not exactly sure what you're supposed to put on these things... I'm 16 years old, slightly shy, love to write and to do anything involved in the theater. Fanfiction is a very, very guilty pleasure for me. I tend to get about 20 pages into most stories and then lose interest, but bugging me about it usually helps. Effective phrases included "Finish the story or I will tell all your friends that you write fanfiction," "Post a new chapter or I will appear by your window late at night in a scary blank mask," or "Keep writing or I will barrage your computer with pictures of Teletubbies." (All of these frighten me, all of these are threats I have actually received. Eep.)
Things that make my day:
- reading a really good story by an amateur writer
- tea with milk and sugar
- anecdotes
- photography books, kids' picture books
- my dog, Dogger
- rain, extra points for thunder and lightening
- movies with swords in them
- people who can spell
- penguins
- listening to my friends babble aimlessly
- www.theonion.com
- reading out loud
- fits of inspiration
- Calvin and Hobbes
- quotes
- snuggles
Look, I had something to say after all.
Oh, and one more thing guys... I'm very happy to review stories-- Newsie or original. Just tell me where to go. I don't usually review without a request from the author, because in my reviews I actually give critiques and some people get offended when I've made suggestions without them asking. Yeah. But I really love reading stories by other amateur writers, so fire away. |
