3/11/05: Poetry workshop by Joy Katz with four fellow Poet Laureates of surrounding high schools. $100 prize from Mystic Arts Cafe. Poet Laureate of Montville High School for the 2004-2005 school year.

3/16/06: Dinner with Gjertrud Schnackenberg, fellow poet winners, and those involved with the English department at the University of Connecticut. $300 prize and copy of Gjertrud's book Supernatural Love, signed and inscribed. Second place for Wallace Stevens poetry contest for ECE students. Read one original poem, ("Saran Wrap"), like the other winners did, preceding Gjertrud's reading.

I took my writing off of here--posting it on the web seems too open. But I still continue to read and review the work of others when I have time, mostly poetry, short fiction and fan fiction (ff.net)
