Hello there.
I'm an aspiring author, who hasn't been to this website in awhile after I first joined up many moons ago - my last profile had me at 20 years of age. I'm going to be 24 soon. Wow, I'm old. Anyhow, my current story comes from an old idea I have had floating around in the confines of my mind since senior year of high school. The version of that original story has changed alot and I actually merged it with characters from different little stories I had. This version I'm working on is a combination of a lot of different characters I've created in all my many years. Its supposed to be a series, and many of the female characters are based on friends from school. Since I have such a large character base, I decided a series would be best - that way each main charcter I've ever thought of can have a story of his or her own. Well, some will end up beind main characters where others will be sidekicks, enemies, etc.
In the case of this first book, Welcome to Northville Boarding (I don't know how long I'll keep that title), the character of Mily is sort of based on my friend, Emily, and I'm sure you can see where I took the name from. All the guy characters are made up because i find its a lot easier to create male characters than it is for females characters - that's why I end up basing the girls on girlfriends I know. And of course, I'm eventually gonna put in a female character based on me.
Well, I hope you all enjoy my story, if it lasts. I have the tendancy to give up in stories I don't like. But if the reviews are good, then I'll keep going. It's the support that helps, dear readers. Also, check out my short story, Opening the Door, which I wrote for a class back in high school. My teacher really liked it. We were studying the World Wars in history that year, which kinda got me thinking, and that's where a lot of that story comes from - that and the dark hallways and other great stuff I now miss about my old high school building before they made a new one that looks like a mall and forced us into it. Fortunately, I only had one year in the new high school.
Why bother bringing up high school, you may ask? Well, just to let you all know, I went to Northville High School - now doesn't that sound familiar...!
