Circumstances in my academic and personal life have occurred in such a way that I will have to withdraw from all things FictionPress for an indefinite amount of time. I apologize for the inconvenience that this bears on any of you reading this, but rest assured that I will be back one day--there's too much stuff in my head to be repressed for long. Whether this material will be posted is another matter, however. Again, I apologize, but real life has to take priority at this point. I hope to return and regale you with more horrors dreamed up from the inside of my skull--but until then, adieu, and may you all find yourselves perpetually in good health and creativity.

Uploaded: Nothing More

Author's Comments: This was done as a writing sample for a summer English class (concerning science fiction and fantasy) that I’m hoping to take this semester. As such it was both rushed in the writing and proof-read only once by independent sources (who did a lot to smooth over my amateurish mistakes). As such, there may still be mistakes remaining; please, consider them mine. As such, the story may or may not undergo extensive revision if and when applicable (such as me getting into the program, which I’m nervous about) or it may stay just the same. It's a character study of sorts, I guess you could say, and it had been stuck in my head ever since I saw the end of the anime Gurren Lagann, which though it is a crack anime (god is it a crack anime), still manages to be good and bring up serious themes. I hope you enjoy it even despite knowing the inspiration's source and that you come away from it with something more than when you went in.

Belated warning: character death, but not of the main character. SP does not believe in suicide.
