For those of you who don't know what dopamine is, I must clarify that it is not a drug. Dopamine [C8H11NO2], is a hormone-like substance, and an important neurotransmitter mainly associated with feelings of pleasure and reward. It is also one of the intermediate substances in the biosynthesis of epinephrine and norepinephrine. When present in normal quantities, dopamine facilitates critical brain functions.
