Din: Yes. Now you have Kei as the other protagonist. All you have to know about Ryo is he's hot, sexy, he's a good fighter, and he's been taken by about... -insert large number here- fangirls. I even have a list going!
DARK
:D Dark is the prototype of Ryo. Back when I roleplayed on the AOL chatrooms, we would just type stuff like :Moves back: and :Jumps away:. So, dark was that character. And he says I'm bad but you know that deep, deep down, he likes my work.
Dark: ...No, she sucks. Really. Dont' waste your time.
Din: Ignore him! NOW! Moving on!
BAKU-CHAN
Baku-Chan just sort of...popped out of nowhere, haha. he's just sort of there..just sort of popped up. He's really quiet, and only speaks when need to. But when he does speak, we listen, because it's always important.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Haha...wow. What the Future Holds. Well, WTFH first started as a roleplay over 4 years ago(!) with my friend Dorin and it lasted for over 3 years continuously, before it officially ended on .Wed, January 26, 2005. (omg, I have the date. xD So sad.). Anyways, it became my obsession ("It's just a roleplay!" Quote, Dorin. Many times)
I'm writing it up myself because I'm just SO cool like that, and because Dorin's busy, anyways. xD Sometimes I wonder if she gets frustrated because there isn't enough limelight on her char, then I just remember that if she realy wants Kei to be in it more, she can just write it up herself. I'm such a happy person.
--ABOUT THE NOVEL--
Wow...my baby's all grown up and become a NOVEL! That's right, kiddies, the first of the trilogy, Of Demons and Prophecies: Ace of Swords, is available for reading & loving! All the Ryo you could ever want, all the Kei you could ever want, now with even MORE Izzy! PLEASE buy a copy, I worked so hard on t his book! I SLAVED, I tell you, to make it even BETTER than the online version!
What, better than the online version, you say? Impossible? VERY possible! Let's look at a side-by-side comparison, ft. an excerpt from the super-cool book!! Let's look at the argument between Ryo and his father in chapter 2.
Here's the online version...
When I got back, three nights later, Elroth still following me, I wasn't expecting a large crowd welcoming me back. And, of course, I only got my pissed off father when he saw that I had come back with no brother, and no soldiers.
"Where's Deneth?" He snapped to me as I put the horse away. My father was leaning with one shoulder against the door frame of the stables, his arms crossed, his eyebrow raised in my direction.
I stopped as I took off the saddle, turning to look at him, "Dead." I said blankly as I put the tack away, then started to sponge off the horse's back. Elroth was sniffing around the stables, quite curious about this new place.
He blinked, "Dead"
"Yes, dead." I replied, glancing at him, my eyes narrowed a bit as I turned, walking past him, heading back to the castle.
However, my father wasn't just going to let me walk past him like that. He wasn't finished with me. Reaching out, he grabbed a fistful of my hair, yanking me back sharply.
I let out a small yelp in surprise, stumbling back, turning sharply to face him, glaring, "What the hell??" I cried out.
Yes...I obviously wasn't the innocent little kid that I was when I left. I was now the 'rebellious teenager', as you all would call it. I wasn't going to stand my father treating me like he did anymore...I was going to take action.
"Don't' talk to me like that." My father snapped.
"Why not?" I shot back.
He took a step forward, his fists clenching.
And I just stood there, a look on my face saying 'I dare you.
"I'm gonna kill you..." he threatened.
"...If you kill me, who's gonna take the throne after you die? Gods know that it'll be soon"
He opened his mouth to speak, however no sound came out. He obviously couldn't find a response to that.
I smirked, "I thought so. I hope this means that you'll start treating me with at least SOME respect"
My father snorted, "You don't deserve it"
"neither do you." I shot back, "But you get more respect then anyone else in this entire kingdom!" I cried out.
"Maybe because people DO respect me"
My eye twitched. I wasn't in the mood to put up with this crap, "Y'know what? You can go die in your own little corner in Hell for all I care." I hissed, turning and walking swiftly back to the castle before my father could say anything more.
I know, I know...terrible and rediculous! But I redid it, and now here's the super-special-awesome NOVEL version, direct from the book!
The moment I entered the castle I was commanded to go the king’s study. He was waiting for me. I could feel his fury as I walked towards his door. I was so nervous I nearly jumped out of my clothes when the dragon skirted by my ankles, exploring his new home.
I knocked on the door. The stern voice of Orin said, “Enter.”
I did so, making sure that the dragon stayed outside. Orin was not fond of dragons for reasons I was never sure of.
“Hello, Father,” my voice was hardly a whisper as I shut the door behind me.
The king sat at a desk that was littered with papers covering things that I would not have been able to understand. The room was large and extravagant, fit for a man of his status, and even though there was a fireplace nearby, it had not been used in years. The room was very cold.
Orin looked up at me with hatred in his black eyes that were so identical and yet so different from my own. “Sit.” There was a chair in front of the desk he sat at. Hesitantly, I did so. “You tell me what happened. I have only heard meaningless reports from the soldiers.” he said sharply, “what did you do to my son?”
The words cut me to the bone. My own father was not only treating me as if I were not his flesh and blood, he was also accusing me for the death of Deneth! I would not, could not stand to have that guilt put upon my shoulders again.
“I did nothing!” I cried out, glaring back at him. “He told me not to get involved! I sat off to the sides and watched, just as he instructed.”
“Tell me what happened!”
I took a deep breath and launched into my tale of what happened that day in the meadow. The words just spilled out of me. I told him what I had seen and what Deneth had said to me and how I acted and how I killed every remaining insurgent. I told him everything but of the dragons, and when I finished I stopped, staring at my father, waiting for his reaction.
Orin closed his eyes when I finished speaking. He looked weary, and for the first time ever I saw just how vulnerable my father could be. “My son is dead. Deneth is dead.”
“Yes,” I breathed.
His eyes opened and focused on me again. “You let him die, you despicable little runt,” he said. Orin slammed his fist down on the desk. His pupils became slitted and catlike – the tell-tale sign of an angry Shadow Demon. “He was being slaughtered and you let him die!”
“No!” I wouldn't accept it. My entire life I had been accused of my mother's death, but I would not take the blame for my brother. “It was not my fault!” There was nothing I could have done.
“You stood back and watched him fall!”
“I was helpless, remember? It was you who claimed I couldn't do anything.”
“You murdered all of those men! You could have saved him!”
“I murdered them because he died!” I shouted, suddenly rising to my feet. Orin and I glared hatefully at each other.
“Get out of my sight.” He spat.
I took a step back, my childish fear returning
“OUT!”
I turned and ran from the room, slamming the door behind me.

Anything I should know before purchasing?
Absolutely. DO NOT buy the book if you don't like spoilers. The book picks up in the LAST CHAPTER of the LAST BOOK. You will NOT understand it and moreso, you will be impossibly disappointed because it is a BIG spoiler f or the entirety of the 3rd book. So in knowing that, go on or stop now. If you still want to buy the book and don't want to be spoiled, WAIT until we reach the 3rd book, and I will tell you when it is safe to buy without being spoiled.

Yes, lots of names have changed for one reason or another. Mostly to get more 'culturally diverse' because a lot of my names are Japanese. So here are the different names...

Any other differences?
Lots of differences, but for the better! You'll like it, I promise! Ryo is the same, Kei is the same, Izzy is the same...just the plot points have been altered, twisted, and shifted. Read it with an open mind, and you'll be fine & thoroughly entertained!

I choose that because, simply, a lot of artists can draw fishnets and a trenchcoat better then Ryo's day-to-day outfit as a king. Hell, I can hardly draw it. o So, enjoy Rock-star Ryo.
