I'm an engineer who loves reading and writing, so I'm a little weird, I like it that way.
What I write: My Star Wars fanfic is a) old, some of the first stuff I wrote, b) focused on Han Solo and c) action/adventure.
BtVS/AtS is where I discovered the internet and the wonder that is feedback. It's a delight to know people are actually reading your stories and what they think of them. My fanfic in this fandom tends to center aroud Angel. Romance is definately an element in my stories, but angst is a much bigger one. I tend toward B/A shipping. Still unless an unconvention ship is at the heart of a story I generally use the conventional pairings for the season. I reguard B/S as a distructive and unhealthy relationship and write it that way. Also I don't write A/C, period. The gymnastics done by the show to get these two together has IMO destroyed both characters (who used to be my favorites) and is the primary reason I stopped watching the show.
My current obsession is X-Men and expanding on my favorite character, Gambit's roll in the Ultimate X-Men universe. I'm hoping to make this a fairly long series. Please keep sending feedback, it really helps to keep me writing quickly.
Trying to stay vaguely within the bounds of continuity requires a certain flexibility. At the moment I don't think the X-Men are going to find any time for an adventure with a certain charming Cajun, so he's just going to have to head back down to New Orleans without them (I really wanted to introduce Scott and Belle, but poor Scotty's dead :(, or at least that what Logan and Kitty say, personally I don't believe them).
After the current Remy/Belle story line I'm not sure what I'm doing, I really don't think time jumping 7 years into the future would be a good plan. So some sort of intermediary plan is in the works. I want to have a story set in Japan (because I just got back from visiting Kyoto and that was so cool!!!). Does anyone like Zoe Ishihara? I haven't decided whether to include her or not and I don't have a real bad guy in mind yet.
Rogue is looking like such a wonderful bad guy in cannon that I can't help but wanting her to that way for a good long time. Oh well that doesn't mean she and Remy can't get involved, it's not like he's going to be spending time with the X-Men in the near future.
Oh and if anyone's looking for them my NC-17 stories can be found at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Quark/9745/NC-17/warning.html |
