Hello!
So a little about me for those of you who are interested
I'm 24 years old and I graduated with a BA in Psychology with a minor in English/Creative Writing in 2005. I currently work in the pharmaceutical industry managing incoming data from various clinical studies. I'm married and living happily in the Midwest (we just bought a house yay!). I've been writing since I was 12, my very first story was an intense thriller that took place in the 6th grade computer lab. It was beyond awesome ;) if i ever find that 13 page handwritten MASTERPIECE I promise I'll upload it just for kicks and giggles.
I'm going to seriously pursue writing as a career choice at some point in my life but i realize that I need loads more practice. I currently have my two favorite short stories that i wrote in college. I certainly wrote tons more than these two but these are the ones that don't suck quite as much as the others and therefore are presentable. That being said i know if i were to read them now I'd cringe at the writing and want to change it all so that's not going to happen.
So I'm at a bit of a crossroads with my current novel and I've been debating on whether or not I should upload it. Out of everything I've written or attempted to write this is without a doubt the best idea, the best cast of characters and the best overall. Meaning that someday I'd love to publish it but I know it needs a ton of work. I've heard some people say that posting on FF neither helps nor hinders your publishing desires however I've heard that it can be considered a form of self-publishing which DOES hurt you. So with that in mind I do think I'll be posting my current work because I'd love feedback. I will never ever attempt to publish it in its current form because frankly it needs far too much work.
