I don't write (read: procrastinate) because it drains me and I am lazy and do not like to be drained. But every once and a while a plot wallaby will take such a strong hold of me and threaten to become a plot kangaroo - or worse, a plot baby seal; so cute - that I must get it out or suffer the consequences. Reviewer death threats seem to do the trick, too. As an "update on my life outside the realm of writingness", I am going back to school! Yes, ladies and possibly gents, this fall I shall be pursuing a higher degree of education which will hopefully one day translate into lots and lots of money!
