I write because I like it. I don't write (read: procrastinate) because it drains me and I am lazy and do not like to be drained. But every once and a while a plot wallaby will take such a strong hold of me and threaten to become a plot kangaroo - or worse, a plot baby seal; so cute - that I must get it out or suffer the consequences. Reviewer death threats seem to do the trick, too.
Oh, and if you care to know: I just graduated college and have no idea what to "do with my life", as my parents are fond of saying. I've been able to write a lot more, though. Silver lining, kids. Silver lining.

The Artists Formerly Known as "Stories" (Italic updates 2008.06.14)
Ain't Nothin' But a Number: (IN PROGRESS) I've always loved the 'fall in love with your older brother's best friend' cliche, but I didn't want to write another one, particularly since it'd be very hard to match all the other lovely stories like it that are on this site. So I decided to change it up a bit, make it the younger brother's best friend instead. Sometimes I get very frustrated with my characters, though. But I plan on finishing it, so no worries. Lydia is going to be throughly confounded and distraught before I can die happy.
I hashed out their respective ages:
Lydia - born December 5th, when she is 19,
Milo - born July 5th is 16 (going on 17) and,
Lewis - born August 22nd is also 16
99 Problems: (WEEKLY UPDATES) I've had this idea floating around for a while, but didn't want to start until I at least updated ANBAN. I have "99 Problems" all planned out, right up to the ending on paper (I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've done this with any story) so you can expect consistent updates with this one. I was inspired by Jay-Z's song of the same name. Our dear main character has so many problems, and her arch nemesis is usually at the crux of them. Not too deep, but definitely a fun read - well, at least it's a blast writing it :)
I changed the first part of the first chapter. It's not too different, but I think it does a lot more for the story than the other one did; feel free to re-read it and let me know what you think!
Friend-4-Hire: (SUSPENDED) One of my favorites to write. I like the comedy aspect. One of my favorite pastimes is zoning out in class to imagine all the sticky situations our dear little Axel is going to get into. It's fun thinking up all the people he has to interact with as well. This one is definitely going to be finished. It's the 'when' that's not definite. I'm gonna stop this story for a while. I'll still leave it up, but I might take it down someday, polish it up, actually finish it, and re-post. I really didn't know where I was going with it and I don't think it's fair to the characters or to whoever may be reading to leave it hanging like that. 'Cause that's not how I roll.
A Romance of Life ((Abstract)): (DELETED) I love the first chapter. It is definitely staying. The other chapters seem to come in periods of great emotional turmoil for me, so it will be updated thusly. Is 'thusly' even a word? I decided to take this one down. That first chapter will probably resurface eventually, but the others are just too raw on my soul for me to have on the internet.
The Poetry: Oh, please, for the love of all that is good and decent do not read my poetry. If you do, you must promise not to laugh. Okay, so you can laugh, I just don't want to know. Constructive crit. is always welcome, but I only keep them up because they remind me where I came from, as well as why I should never ever consider quitting my day job. That being said, you have been warned. RAYOR (read at your own risk!) On second or third thought, just don't read them at all. Still can't bring myself to delete them, just like I can't bring myself to not shudder every time I read them.
