The essence of it is that I support it and I see a webmaster's ability to control their site's content (as Xing is doing here) as an integral free-speech issue ... It's the whole idea of applying MPAA ratings to fiction that bothers me. Go forth and read if you're curious.

Anyway, about me:

I started writing fanfic a couple of years ago. It's just a sideline for my "serious" stories. It's a nice way to unwind at the end of a long day.

Favorite animes/shows/books: Lots. I spent about a year in a deep Trigun obsession (the fanfiction fruits of which can be seen in my various fics, especially the novel-length "Sand & Light".) Lately my new binge has been Dragonball Z. After shunning the series for a long time ("Oh, it's only a kids' fighting show") I started reading the manga and discovered the series' amazing complexity of character and plot ... and so I'm hooked. Other than that, I dabble in a number of other fandoms, including Yami No Matsuei, Ranma 1/2, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Harry Potter, and various TV shows.

Fanfic likes: As you may be able to tell by reading my stories, I'm an absolute sucker for friendship stories. Romance doesn't do a whole lot for me (though I've dabbled in the genre with stories like "Eternal"), and I'm not a big yaoi fan (though I've read a few that I liked), but give me a good friendship fic and watch me melt.
