Slash is not degrading, nor is it trying to make fun of people. It isn't calling someone gay or calling them a fag.

It's expressing something that could be beautiful. It is expressing a love between two people regardless of their gender. It is entertaining to some and disgusting to others. It shows another side to a person, a caring side, that they can love and that they do love, whether or not it is fiction or reality doesn't matter.

And besides...what the hell else can you write?? There aren't enough divas to go around... :P
