All About Me
Name: Sylvia/Chrissy
Gender: Figure it out, genius.
Age: 17
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Appearence: *points to the avatar in the upper right corner* Like that, only, y'know, cooler.
Sign: Aries
Addictions: Chocolate, reading, writing, poetry, fictionpress.com, email, computers in general
Musical Preferences: I like loud music, like Papa Roach, Rammestein, and System of a Down. I also like artistic music like Ludo, Evanescence, and Story of the Year. I like music with sexy voices, like Koshi Inaba of B'z, and...nope, that's it. Just Koshi.
Other: I am naive enough to believe that my Prince will come someday. And I don't care. *sticks out tongue at realists*.
Random Thought: People say that a million monkeys banging away on typewriters will eventually type the complete works of Shakespeare. And I have to wonder: How did these monkeys escape from the zoo? Who gave them these typewriters? And most importantly, do they know how to use spell-check?
Author's Note
Most people will tell you which of their stories to review. I won't. I write in many different genres, and I don't know what you like. So read their descriptions below and pick whichever sounds the most interesting to you. I love my flash fiction just as much as my stories, too, ya know. They feel lonely sometimes....
I sincerely try to write long, informative, helpful reviews, but sometimes I find it impossible to write more than the stereotypical "wow that was good." Some of the poems/stories up here are like meringues- fun to eat, but not much there to comment on. Nevertheless, if I read your story, I will review, and I will try to give a well-rounded critique. So far, I've submitted over 280 signed reviews.
I firmly believe that a review should be about you, not me. So I won't say thank you for your kind review, you should read my story ABC, or this is why I had character X kill character Y. I'll write you an email if I feel the need to justify my writing.
If you want me to read a particular one of your stories, write me an email. If it's anything vaguely in my genre, I'll read and review it. And on that note, I won't touch it unless it's got something magical or sci-fi-y about it. I don't care about how two modern day teens fall in love, or how character Z survived the Black Plague. Sorry, I just don't care.
Constructive criticism is always appreciated. If you liked my writing, tell me what you liked so that I can continue using that element.
January 14, 2006: I realize that I haven't been on FictionPress in any real sense for almost six months now. All I can say is that I've been going through some weird stuff at home, and I had my computer (which I used to write on) taken away. But now; now I shall slowly venturing back into the world of writing, in the guise of Creative Writing class homework. My muse has not been happy with me lately.
Muse: I have an awesome idea for a sequel to Kitty Cat Fangs!
Me: Mmph.
Muse: Or how's this for an idea: (complicated actions take place in Necromancer).
Me: Urm.
Muse: Or, we could completely rewrite Winddancer and try to fix the plotholes I see looming ahead...
Me: You know, no matter how much you bug me, I can't write without a computer.
Muse: FINE! BE THAT WAY! *stalks off and leaves Sylvia without inspiration for living*
