04/07/07: My name is May, and I feel too old for this site but love it too much to give it up. I have a
history of being unreliable in terms of updating and completing
stories, which I attribute to a lack of organization. I took a long
hiatus from writing over the past couple years (inspired by guilt and a struggle to be more normal), just recently plunging
back in head first. To say my interest is renewed would be a massive
understatement: I'm obsessed! And it feels fantastic!
Anything But That is my real
story...the others are just highly enjoyable distractions. But I've
dawdled over it for so long, it's lost any continuity it may have once
had. My vision for it isn't clear anymore, and the plot bunnies are
attacking. And I've changed too much as a writer since I started.
Therefore, I am going to crack the whip on myself and FIX IT. This is
my new goal, and psychologically I'm in a place where I must reach a
goal. . .any goal. I will, dammit, and it's going to be this one!
Hurrah!
So. . .I don't know what to tell you in terms of what to
expect. The story is going to end up much stronger--I insist upon
it!--but this means revision and perhaps redirection. I don't know,
I'll get back to you. But I crave the sense of accomplishment that
comes from completing a story, and it must be this one. Things are
going to change though, my friends! They are indeed. Hopefully you'll
like the story more for it. I know I will. _
