Mini-Bio:
I am a young woman in college studying human biology and pre-medicine. This means I tend to be very busy doing horrible things that involve lots of boring reading that makes even the most well-rested person feel the fluttering of their eyelids within fifteen minutes, and a great deal of algebraic terror.
Let's see here, what else do I do? I'm something of an artist, when I remember to draw/paint/craft/throw/photograph. I also collect stuffed animals, I'm such a little kid sometimes. That music includes new age (including celtic and scottish), metal (but nothing that screams), country, trance/techno, and a random assortment of others.
Something I cannot do is play chess, the same goes for checkers. In fact, I can't knit very well either. Other times, I obsessively clean things until the early hours of the morning. (yes, I have scrubbed a toilet at 2:30 am. Ew.)
On Writing...
One of my greatest beliefs can be summed up on a single word: messy. and time-consuming This applies to art too. But as messy and time-consuming as it is, it's some of the most amazing stuff I've ever been a part of.
My other great belief is knowledge. One cannot possibly write anything truly good without any of it. Grammar, spelling, all of that good stuff, a real plot, a good bit of reading, research if needed... Really, that's absolutely necessary.
My Writing...
Current Work: Nutmeg. Soon, a drawing of the main character Alora should have a link here. A naive, not-so-collected, fun loving, college student and wannabe artist, Alora meets a not-so-naive, collected, serious business man, Drake in a coffee shop and argue about nutmeg, the choice thing to add to their coffee. As the lack of nutmeg becomes a game for the baristas on following coffee visits, Alora and Drake begin to get to know each other, which lead to lunches that may be just what Alora needs to grow up a bit more, and to get Drake to ease out of his too serious niche.
Poetry: Some of it is edited up and revised, other poems are just the raw stuff of my soul that I'm afraid to edit.
Inspirations: I'd put down authors, but then I tend to mimic them too closely. Various music inspires various things in me... Uhm, yeah. Talking to people is good too, and movie previews at the theatres, reading books, fan-fics, seeing nifty things in nature (like ice-storms)...
This was really long...oops. Oh yeah, e-mail me if you have questions or comments, go see my deviant art site if you want to see my art work (well, what of it I put up, anyway).
Review Policy: If you review me and you have work that I can find fairly easily, then I will review in turn (reading the story isincluded, thus comments, criticism, andcompliments as well)
