3/9/05 I'm back again and have changed my name to the one I use on TORC, which I frequent more than most sites. I am now K.Evenstar.
29/6/05 I'm back! I've added 2 stories from my creative writing coursework, and a link to my weblog.
Hi, I'm Katherine (Katie)from the Isle of Wight (South England.) I'm 19 and studying English Literature - and Creative Writing, at Kingston University, London. I have been writing for as long as I can remember, in fact I cannot imagine NOT writing. I write anything, poems, stories, a diary, little random thoughts that don't really have a category, but may come in useful with later projects. I'm completely insane, in a quiet sort of way. Well, some of my personalities are insane in a quiet way, the others are just plain cuckoo full stop.
I'm a fan of Tolkien (LOTR and Silmarillion), CS Lewis (Narnia), David Eddings (Elenium, Belgariad etc), Julia Gray (The Guardian Cycle) and most fantasy. I also visit the messageboards on www.tolkienonline.com a lot, so if you do too, I'm K.Evenstar on there. I like movies, my favourite actor is Sir Ian McKellen as he not only acts but BECOMES every part he plays. Don't know about favourite actress. Love musicals and especially the awesome Phantom of the Opera.
I don't watch much TV but my favourite things are old British comedies like Blackadder and Fawlty Towers, and er, new British comedies like My Family.
I like most kinds of music but it has to have real feeling, not just something churned out of the pop love song machine. Although there is the occasional good manufactured pop song that I won't admit to liking - but do.
Hope you enjoy. If want to use any of my poems, just ask and I'm bound to say yes. Just make sure that you put my name on it, not your own. If you review my work, I will try and return the favour. Please be nice to me. Constructive criticism is welcomed; flames will used for cooking my infamous BCB (Burnt crunchy bits) pasta.

Recommendation
To any fantasy fans I urge you to read The Guardian Cycle by Julia Gray.
Also the Bitterbynde trilogy by Cecilia Dart-Thornton - much more of a mythical type fantasy than many.
How I feel today: Busy but pleased I'm done with my coursework... for the time being!
What I'm reading now: Out of the Silent Planet: C.S.Lewis
