Alright, I'm going to make this a short and sweet message. As of now, all of my stories are on extended (or, well, more extended hiatus). I just can't think of where I was heading with most of the plots, and in the case of Lessons in Living, I can't think of any way that I want to end it any longer and the inspiration is just kind of dead. I do think it'll end eventually, just not for a long time. Who knows? It may go through a rewrite in the distant future.
In the meantime, I will potentially have a new story up. No promises on its completion, but it's been something I've been wanting to work on for a long time. It has to deal with faerie mythology--like the Seelie and Unseelie Courts, and all that jazz. Think of the Tithe series by Holly Black, or the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr. That sort of thing.

Five years had passed since Camdyn Hadley, my best friend, moved to live in New York City. It was like part of myself had died when my family and I watched his family's car roll down the road, farther and farther away until we couldn't see it any longer. But now, in my junior year of high school, Camdyn was back--having traded his little polo shirts for black band tees and the piano passed down through his family for several generations replaced by a beautiful singing voice. But, at least to me, he was still the same and I was just glad to have him back after so many years... Even if his sudden reappearance seemed to throw my usually peaceful life into the realms of confusion, desolation, and longing all over again.

If you're not comfortable with crossdressing and teachers having relationships with their students, by all means, don't read it. That, and it's written in first person point of view. Being reunitedwith the one person he thought he'd gotten over and still having intense feelings for his current lover slowly start to tear him apart at the seams, making it hard for him to differentiate between 'like' and 'love'.

Vanhael is a city filled with supernatural citizens living secret lives among humans. Among Vanhael's many abnormal citizens is Cameron Ainsworth, an incubus. He knew that, because of his race, he'd never be able to commit to a monogamous relationship and had long ago given up on forging one. But when Zane Ayres, a human boy, enters his life, all bets are called off, leaving the incubus emotionally unsure. He vows to protect Zane from the vampire ancient named Alyxandyr who wants to keep the human as a (disposable) pet, but when his feelings start developing further from a duty to protect the other, he's unsure what to do. To avoid both breaking the supernatural laws of Vanhael and breaking the younger boy's heart in the long run, the incubus tries to remain as emotionally detached from Zane as he can. But, it's hard to be distant with someone when you're sure your world will shatter if you lose them.
Current Status: No plans to pick this one up.
May experience a rewrite far in the future.
