| Miss Wallflower |
Author has written 17 stories for Humor, Young Adult, Life, Play, and General. I'm Miss Wallflower. Obviously. I'm self-diagnosed histrionic obsessive-compulsive. My Top Four Favorite Books: "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky, "Please Don't Kill the Freshman" by Zoe Trope, "How I Paid For College: A Novel of Sex, Friendship, Theft and Musical Theatre" by Marc Acito, "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" (I like a lot of others too, but those are my four favorites) My Favorite Movies: "Almost Famous," "Rent," "Sin City," "Kill Bill," "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," "Cry-Baby," "Amelie," "The Phantom of the Opera," "Pulp Fiction," "Hairspray," "All I Wanna Do," "The Nightmare Before Christmas," "Moulin Rouge," "Little Shop of Horrors," "Chicago," "The Breakfast Club," "Memoirs of a Geisha," "Finding Neverland," "All I Wanna Do," "Donnie Darko," "Corpse Bride," "Brokeback Mountain," and I'm sure there are more but I'm too lazy to think of them. My Favorite Songs: "Blackbird," "For No One," "She Said She Said," "Eleanor Rigby," "Michelle," "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" and "Dear Prudence" by the Beatles, "A Thousand Miles," "Unsung," "Wanted," "Half a Week Before the Winter," and "C'est la Vie" by Vanessa Carlton, "Freakshow" and "Favorite Lunatic" by Stretch Princess, "Anna Begins", "Goodnight Elisabeth" and "Big Yellow Taxi" by the Counting Crows, "The Hardest Button to Button" by the White Stripes (see above), "Morning Glory", "Supersonic", "Columbia", and "Champagne Supernova" by Oasis, "Jerusalem," "Cold Cold Water," "Million Miles," "Gone Sugaring," "The Dogs of B.A.," "Sweepstakes", "Words Cannot Describe", "Special Death"and that one that comes after "Special Death" that I can't remember the name of by Mirah, "America" by Simon and Garfunkel, "Tiny Dancer" by Elton John, and... well, the scores to all my pet musicals. My Top Three Favorite Musicals: "Rent," "The Light in the Piazza," "The Wild Party" (Lippa version) The Other Musicals I Adore: "The Rocky Horror (Picture) Show" (esp. the 2000 revival), "Little Shop of Horrors," "Chicago," "Thoroughly Modern Millie," "Hairspray," "Bye Bye Birdie," "Grease," "A Chorus Line," "Oklahoma!," "The Phantom of the Opera," "Guys and Dolls," "Cabaret," "Gypsy," "Wicked," "tick, tick... BOOM!," "The Producers" (but not the movie so much), "The Musical of Musicals: The Musical," "Bombay Dreams," "The Wild Party" (LaChiusa version), "Hair," "Wonderful Town," "West Side Story," "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," "Avenue Q," "Bright Lights Big City" (well, I haven't heard it yet, but I know I'm going to love it...) My Other Random Obsessions: Diet Coke, Oreos, chocolate, funky tights, funky sunglasses, funky nail polish, funky lipstick, funky candles, glittery stuff, retro-vintage clothes, bubblegum flavored anything, dressing like a Bohemian or a ballerina or both, 80s cartoons, turquoise, writing/reading, ranting, vanilla-scented anything, playing piano, funky shoes, sitting on surfaces not meant for sitting on. Stuff I Really Hate: Popular radio music, "My Brother Sam Is Dead," homophobes, "The Wizard of Oz," "Grease 2," riding the school bus, my metabolism, high school drama. I am a generally mellow person but if I have too much soda I will get hyper; not bouncing-off-the-walls hyper but just really, really happy. I don't care if I don't have the prettiest singing voice, it's still fun to sing around your friends and stuff. I'm not sure why I decided this; I think I just was sick of not letting myself just randomly sing and have fun. With my friends, you sing a lot. It's the way that it is. I also like pseudonyms. It's not that I don't like my own name... I just like using other names better. Oh, and referencing things randomly. I really like doing that. I find it great fun. It's just too bad that most of the time people don't get what I'm talking about... Some day, after everyone else gets married, all of us unmarried single ladies are going to get a big house somewhere and be unmarried and single. And we will all get wedding dresses and eat cake instead of going through the trouble of actually getting married. Or... everyone will move to New York and we'll all write and perform in operas and musicals and sweep the Tonys. And have I mentioned I have a tendency to rant and ramble a lot? Well, I do. In case you didn't already figure that out. And I'm sarcastic. But you don't need that pointed out to you, now do ya? | |||||
