I'm really struggling with finishing Say It Right. Truthfully, I always struggle with endings for my stories, so this isn't unusual. I've written an ending but I'm pretty sure that I hate it because every time I think about my ending, I grimace. And now I'm just avoiding it. But actually writing those words is making me think about reopening it after this update so... hopefully the finale will be done soon. I've also been struggling with my writing in general. For some reason, it feels forced. When I read my older stories, I feel like they had more spice than the stuff I write now. I don't know if that's actually true or if I'm just being too hard on myself. We'll see. Thanks for your reviews while I've been away! I've always loved writing since I was a child... I joined this site when I was 14 and you can see it in my writing (eek). I'm seriously toying with the idea of taking some of my earlier stories down... just because they are so cringe-worthy to me. It's kind of like reading your diary from high school... ugh. Here are summaries for each of my stories, newest to oldest: Say It Right: It all comes down to picking between the man you can't resist or the man who was there all along. When Finally Set FreeFor everyone who has struggled with dating during college. Frat boys and a miserable home life that you're secretly glad to escape from don't help either. Out of My Hands: Life is about choices... sometimes we make good choices and sometimes we make bad ones. Throw in a bridezilla sister when your personal life is already in turmoil and you're bound to get an angsty tale. (This story is semi-autobiographical... and I may have poured a little too much of my personal bitterness into it, which might make it a bitter pill to swallow. You've been warned.) I've written a trilogy, which unfortunately doesn't have a cute nickname. If you read these stories, you should probably read them in chronological order. I didn't set out intending to write a trilogy so many of the opening character descriptions are in the first story. Story 1: Stand By Me: A story of best friends needing each other... and maybe a hot twin brother too. Story 2: Nice Guys Always Finish: I loved the character of Erik so much that I wrote my own story for him. A lot of my readers reacted badly to the Erik's love interest and I reacted badly to criticism of her (I'll admit that, five years later) so... maybe she's a bitter pill to swallow too. See for yourself. Story 3: The Search For Something More: Izzy is the wild child I wish I was. The rest of my stories are (to be completely honest) badly written sixteen year old drivel that I can't quite bring myself to take down. Undercover is a very long one-shot because it was the first time I'd posted on this site and I didn't know you could upload chapters. I was 14... please forgive me. The only older story that I still mostly enjoy is Ryan because I channeled my very real grief over losing a close family friend into that story. I vaguely consider re-writing it sometimes (no plot changes, just... better writing, ha). Please leave me a review! | |||||||
