Author has written 34 stories for Life, Nature, Supernatural, War, Thriller, Horror, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi.

I am 21, male. I go to Dartmouth College. If you wish to reach me for some reason you can email me at john5910@excite.com or message me on MSN at the same name.

I am sincerely and deeply indebted to the people who continue to read my works. The worst thing in existence for a writer, any writer, even an unpublished amateur writer like myself, is solipsism. I think that every writer in existence is deathly afraid of finding out that he is the only thing that exists and everything else is a fabrication of his (or her) imagination. A writer is dependent on the assumption that other people exist. I might say I write for myself, but I desperately want someone to read what I write (not necessarily today or tomorrow, but eventually.) So as such, I am a public servant and I am deeply indebted to my readers--rather modest in number, but impressive in their dedication. I thank you; you've been a huge help.

I would very much like to hear some more comments about The Mezentius Torture, my only completed novella. The thing is this the only work that I am currently actively trying to publish in print and since the process takes quite a while, I'd rather know if there are any significant flaws in it that might be fixed. (Summary: It is about the bizarre relationship a young girl has with a hitman. Be forewarned, it's not some incredulous romanticist adventure, but a rather a look at the psychology of purity and selfishness. I might say it's not romanticist, but it's still a romance. A twisted romance, but a romance nonetheless.)

UPDATE: Am going to work on both Under Truth and Master... mostly because it seems no one has much interest in Under Truth.

In Progress: Master, a perverted fantasy epic written through a brutal Orientalist lens of opulence, needlessly cruel barbarism, and rampant hedonism. I have it planned out to be novel length, at the very least. And when I finish it, I'll probably look into publishing it, too. Honestly, I think I'd probably have the most success in getting this particular text seen in print somewhere.

In Progress:Under Truth My Horror Lies -- a highly experimental, fractured, surrealist narrative about the tortured life of a privileged, lower upper-class, heterosexual, white male. Actually it really isn't. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but it's probably my most ambitious project yet. But I should add that I am now continuing it in full force and it's spiraling outward. If you do want to dare reading it, don't be discouraged by the general uneventfulness of the first few chapters. The newest chapter should be a good deal more intriguing and it will only get even more disturbing from there. Inspired by David Foster Wallace, Homer, Virgil, Dante, Kafka, Ralph Ellison, and Thomas Pynchon.

I name the nameless.

I bury myself in ash, so that I may rise with the phoenix.
