Recently I’ve been getting some pretty rude, self-righteous
PMs and reviews regarding my… inactivity. Nothing too awful, just the occasional
snide comment about my lack of decency, follow through, consideration, etc.
Still, it’s getting annoying having to read (and ignore) these unpleasant
notices in my mail box, so I thought I’d save myself the trouble and repost my previous profile announcement:
Explanation:
Over the course of the past year
and a half, my mom has been diagnosed with not one, not two, but three
different forms of cancer, one of which is terminal. A main part of the DSR
plot revolves around the death of Clair, Connor, and Kyle’s mother, so I haven’t
been too keen on progressing the storyline (since the explanation is due within
the next 2-3 chapters). It’s not even that I don’t want to— I can’t. I
have writer’s block like you wouldn’t believe.
So, for all you snarky reviewers: I’m terribly sorry if this
has inconvenienced you in any way. Really, I ache for you. Most people on FP have been really respectful, even without
knowing my reasons, and I appreciate that. Actually, I figure everyone’s
forgotten my story existed (it’s gotta be on page 289,392 or something by now).
So in a way it’s nice to get chewed out. And in a much larger, more meaningful
way it’s really quite unpleasant.
