Ok, I can say, seriously, this time, that you WILL see reposting and continuation of what's currently up of Time of the Gates. Why? Because I got a new laptop in the form of one of those ultra-portable netbooks! :D The problem for me and writing, it seems, has been I just CAN'T sit down and write at a desktop anymore for some reason. I got so used to a laptop's portability that it felt odd. And, I must admit, for TotG I did all my writing on my laptop (until the laptop died). So, 527 bucks later, I have a Tosiba NB200 with a fantastic keyboard and I haven't stopped writing yet! Nearly done second chapter rewrite. Its sounding beautiful so far. I'm able to have it up double paged at about the size of a pocketbook, which is keeping me from overwriting like I normally do. Still typoing like mad getting used to the keyboard config, but its improving. I WILL be gone from the 12th-28th of July. However, you CAN expect the chapter reposts AND, all going well, a BRAND NEW chapter on top of that. I've literally been so happy I've been able to write today (its been several months at least) that I've been bouncing off the walls. I spent 2 hours this afternoon, and got down 2000words...not bad considering I haven't managed over 1000 for months. I'm going to go back to it for a little, see if I can finish chapter two before sleeping, and then begin chapter three tomorrow after going and busking at the farmer's market with choir. Plan to up the writing time as I settle back into the pattern to what it was before. Can't do it as much, due to game responsibilities (my quirkyness would be missed) but I'm glad that I'll be able to pull 4 hour writing stints at the very least. all dayers and all nighters later on, depending on how hard the story is gripping me. I can't wait to officially return and hear from you all again! keep an eye on your email notifications and this space here for more info.
