Stories:
Shadows in the Sand: This is my current story, about what happens
when a scholar and a foolish village girl meet. This is the one I
currently want reviews on, because I haven't written anything in a long
time and I want to see what people think of it. The map of the world
that this takes place in is here.
Nimetön's Gift - The world is beginning to change. A new religion,
the Cult of Kipua, has arrived, and now the Cult's god, Kipua, is
battling the shaman's pantheon. But they are equally matched, for Kipua
has had much time for his power to develop, and the power of the shaman
gods has waned in past years. But the scale is about to tip, and those
on the other side of it will do whatever they must to tip it back in
their direction. Three instruments have been made. Three people have
been chosen. One song must be played. The maps from this story are at
the link at the top of the page, if you want to see them. However, I've
stopped writing this story. I got bored of it, so I stopped. Sorry
ifyou were reading it, but it won't be continued.
The Sight of the Blind - This is another discontinued story, which is about a blind boy and a prophesy.
Of
the Lunessa - A short little thing about a stone made by the magic of
the sea. This is from my old conworld, but it's not too bad to read.
Randomness,
Cheese, and too Much Chocolate - A little sketch-type thing about a
banker and a man with a funny hat. Very amusing, and highly random and
pointless.
Laugh - A short story that really has no plot and is
very pointless. It's basically about a girl and a lot of snow, and some
animals. It's in 1st person, which is unusual for me, and which I'm
really very bad at.
The Wooden Leaf Face - A short story about a
girl who finds a box in her garden, and what she does with the contents
of that box. I was inspired to write short stories. Here's what came
out of it. I'm actually rather fond of it, so see what you think
Poetry:
Journeying Song - One of those Tolkienesque walking songs. With a
metre that Tolkien uses and everything. Ooh, aah. I like it, anyhow.
Of
the Beginning as told in Song - The story of the beginning of one of my
old conworlds, in song. And it's translation into a very badly done
conlang. Oh well.
The Game of Life - A poem I am quite fond of, about a game, which is really a metaphor for life.
Silently Raining - A poem I came up with coming home on the bus, mostly about finding silence in noise.
Silk Paradise - Probably my favourite of all the poems I've ever written, or at least one of them. The name sort of says it all.
One Who Remembers - I was in a poetry mood, and came up with this. RotK inspired.
Shadow Cat - A sonnet sort of poem, about a woman and a can and a lot of shadows.
The Silent Land -A poem about an old guy who lives in a desert. Rather interesting.
Updates:
4/3/05 - A new story up, Shadows in the Sand.
2/19/05 - Two new poems. Shadow Cat, and The Silent Land. I like them.
2/13/05
- Two new short stories up. One is rather pointless and I don't really
like it, about a snow obsessed girl, and the other is about a girl who
finds a box in her garden, that I like.
9/18/04 - The puter's fixed, and chapter 21 is up. :)
9/15/04 - My puter seems to have died, and we apparently have to
reinstall windows, so it'll be a while before the next update. :(
9/13/04 - Chapter 20 up
9/11/04 - Chapter 19 up.
9/8/04 - finally let me upload chapter 18, so there's the end of Book
One. I haven't done any more on chapter 19, been reading. School starts
tomorrow, not as much writing time then.
9/7/04 - Chapter 18 typed but not uploaded, as is being evil and won't
let me at the moment. Chapter 19, the first chapter of book two, is
halfway done.
