Author has written 4 stories for Life, General, and Supernatural. Hi, I'm Mealyn (May-uh-lin, for those who are thinking, "...What?") formerly known as Lady Lucritia. I'm an 18 year old college freshman who loves to write but unfortunately can't seem to complete a story. I write poetry and short stories at times, but for the majority of time, I am stuck with a horrible case of writer's block. I have recently taken up some writing again, but I most likely will not be posting here for a while (which, if you haven't noticed, I haven't been doing for a while anyway...I am super lazy and haven't updated anything in ages). My favorite genres are realistic fiction, fantasy, and mystery. I enjoy good poetry that isn't too abstract but not too simple. "My wet pet" does not constitute a good poem in my honest opinion. Yes, that is a real published poem. I wish I was joking. I live for metaphors and similes that aren't cheesy, and you win my ultimate respect if you create characters who are real, not pretty and perfect. You should write about what you know, but it doesn't hurt to try to write about something you merely dream about; that's what fantasy's for. I love it when my characters take control of the story, and I have learned to be cruel (you aren't a brutal writer until you've put your characters through hell). Feel free to say hello if you so desire. I am not prominent or highly updated, but I am who I am, writer's block and all. | |||||
