Quick Update: I have recovered all of my lost documents!! I graduated yesterday, so I'll have a lot of time to write now that it's summer...but, I have a confession. I've been working on a secret story project for a couple months now. I, personally, really like what I've written so far. It needs a LOT of revision, but the plot is original and I'm absolutely in love with the characters (which I've successfully managed to keep canon this entire time). I'm writing the story in a notebook and I'm almost done (I think), so once I'm finished, I'll start typing it up and editing. :)
In the meantime, I'm going to shamelessly plug the vlogbrothers, fiveawesomegirls, and fiveawesomeguys from youtube. I and four of my friends will soon be joining them and creating a vlog of our own so we can keep in touch once we've all graduated. Yes, Lucy is one of them. When we've recorded our first intro video, I will post a link here and you will finally have a face behind the keyboard (if that makes any sense whatsoever)!
Thank you for your patience and I hope to be updating soon!
~ Kare
Hi, I'm Kare. I'm active on fanfiction, but I've also moved into the realm of original fiction and I've decided to start using this website to expand my creativity.
I'm also using this account as a joint account with my best friend Lucy. We're writing our stories at the same time and we're in a bit of a competition...so here are our bios:
A little bit about me:
Name: Kare
Nicknames: Grammar Nazi, Kare
Age: 18
Occupation: School, right now. And facebooking.
Facts: I live for music. I sing, I perform, I listen, I critique, and I enjoy. I read manga and murder mystery novels. I can BS my way through any world history essay and get an A+ on it. I HATE improper punctuation. When talking about oneself, you capitalize the 'I'. It's not 'i'. If you type your 'i's like that, I have one question for you: where the hell were you in first grade English class?
Favorites: Bands: Yellowcard, Escape the Fate, Panic! At the Disco, Relient K, Cartel, and The Academy Is... Movies: Rent, Princess Bride, History of the World Part I. Songs: 'Love Song' by Sara Bareilles, 'Dateline (I Am Gone)' by Yellowcard, and 'Our Song' by Taylor Swift. Mangas: Fruits Basket and Marmalade Boy. Books: Harry Potter series, 'The Morning After' by Lisa Jackson, 'The Teen Geek Social Club' by Laura Preble, 'Queen Geeks In Love' by Laura Preble, and the Gossip Girl series.
And now a little bit about Lucy...
Name: Lucy
Nicknames: LucyLu, Luce, The Arguer
Age: 17
Occupation: Student, aspiring author
Facts: I love History and English and I spend most of my time on the computer after school writing stories and going on Myspace. Like Kare, I am an occasional Myspace whore...and I enjoy it.
Favorites: Kare! She's my best friend! Bands: KJ-52, Relient K, and Switchfoot. Movies: Remember the Titans, Drumline, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Songs: Anything by KJ-52! And 'Let It All Out' by Relient K. Books: To Kill A Mockingbird, everything written by Caroline B. Cooney, and the Bible!
Kare: We each are posting our first chapters here and if you review (if and only if) we'll gladly update. Well, I will. I've prewritten most of my story anyways...
You can also find me, still, at fanfiction under the screen name: Crazy For Bakura. I only write Yu-Gi-Oh! and Harry Potter fics there because I was once a major fan of the YGO manga and anime. I'm still a very avid fan of the HP series and am willing to debate/discuss ANYTHING that happens to do with it.
I'm also writing a joint Harry Potter fic with Wicked Little Town. It will be posted under the name: Crazy Little Town. We decided it would be called 'Something to Prove'. The fic does not take place inside Hogwarts, but Harry will definitely show up a couple times. :)
Stories:
Common Prince: The modern day story of The Notebook, I suppose. Except, the characters' backgrounds are startlingly different. Amber is a girl failed and abused by love, Isaac is just the guy trying to make her fall in love with him.
April Fools: Kalah thought she knew how to really surprise her friends: getting a boyfriend. Perfect timing for her crush to get jealous, no?
How Do You Solve a Problem Like Mr. Right?: Jazz Jameson is the girl who everyone turns to for relationship advice. She's always right about those things, but she can't seem to land herself a good, long term relationship. So, forced to watch her best friend Lizz stumble over wrong boy after wrong boy, she grows a little desperate for a guy of her own. Then Mr. Right enters her high school gym on the first day of school and she must decide whether she should let Lizz get the right guy (for once) or take him for herself.
Better By Design: 1000 word drabbles from the mind of Callie Harrison, recent high school graduate and long-time victim of love.
Pending Stories:
Unnamed As of Yet: Two girls in their senior year of high school. What used to be familiar to them is spinning out of control and they're suddenly going against their own natural instincts. Boys, teachers, friends, and scandals will victimize the girls and everything they knew will change. Their friendship will be strained, but with the aid of a teacher who made a few mistakes, they will hopefully be able to carry on.
Yesterdays' Heroes of Tomorrow: Inspired by the theyfightcrime.com website. Darren is a misogynistic, playboy firefighter. She's just a junkie with strange, drug-induced powers. Together, they learn to handle the strange, the deadly, and the government. They fight crime!
Unnamed II: The East and West Kingdoms of Diaglonis never got along. At least, that's what was preached to rivals Jeremy and Athalia. But when the two come together in an unlikely friendship, they'll work together to find out exactly what tore the kingdoms apart.
