Recommended Stories/Novels Of Mine:
Mystery of the Night, I was just a beginner so I wouldn't recommend it. I started writing this story when I was thirteen and my writing skills were not up to par. So, don't read this one. It needs ALOT of editing, one which would require a lot of time and effort...I'll get to it eventually, I promise!
Haunted is actually a fave of mine. I took extra time to write this novel and the story idea was completely mine. Read this novel, it's good but still needs editing.
In My Thoughts is the novel that I just completed. Because of my own medical career (what career, I should say education) this story has some reference to medicine. It's my most meaningful and message sender to the world. Basically, it's about standing up for yourself even if society is against you. As always, this story needs editing, and therefore will be edited as soon as my muse stops yelling story outlines...which I guess would not be in the near future.
In my short story section, I definately recommend A Moment of Life. It's deep, and needs an open mind. The summary doesn't do it justice, and neither does the title when you think about it. But do give it a read.
Few Inspirational Quotes:
"Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are a good person is a little like expecting the bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian." ~ Dennis Wholey, 20th/21st century self-help author and journalist.
"False hope is worse than despair." ~Jonathan Kozol, American journalist and author (b. 1936)
"I do get scared about the physical danger from drug dealers. But it’s not in the same league as the danger I feel eating an $80 lunch with my privileged friends to discuss hunger and poverty. That’s when my soul feels imperiled." ~ Jonathan Kozol, American journalist and author (b. 1936)
"There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it." ~Edith Wharton, American novelist (1862-1937)
"I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word." ~Martin Luther King Jr., American Civil Rights Leader (1929 - 1968) From his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech.
"I'm an idealist. I don't know where I'm going but I'm on the way." ~ Carl Sandburg, American poet and writer (1878-1967)

And my personal fave:
"I have found that if you love life, life will love you back." ~ Arthur Rubinstein, Polish-American classical pianist (1887-1982)
