I'm the former anonymne. That identity in my writing is long past, and I'm a strong believer in names, so I needed to change to something new just because my style has shifted a lot in the time since I settled on the old name. I'm no longer hiding from my 'readership' (yes, all two of you..!) because I don't see the point, and I'm not embarassed about my writing so much that I should want to divorce myself completely from it by putting anonymity between it and me. So--! New name! anon is dead, long live the crane...
I like writing; I like literature; I like drama. I'm not sure if I consider myself an author, probably only a writer; I enjoy experimentation, so I can never settle on one style, except expect that anything I write will have long winding sentences and perhaps intentionally cliff-hanging fragment sentences. I am a stylistic Frankenstein, an unbearable monster. Hopefully I'll settle on something one day. I like playing with language; grammar; classical languages; French; low-fantasy settings; philosophy; writing essays of literary analysis; politics in fantasy stories; archaisms; and old, weird science.
My reasons for liking slash mainly center around a personal dislike of straight sex, not straight couples. Personal experience, kids. You'll note that my stories are centered around male homosexual relationships; it's not because I particularly prefer gay couples over lesbian ones, it's just that I've always roleplayed men. Hopefully my favourites list will expand, eventually, to reflect my equal liking of f/f slash. Unfortunately, people just don't write f/f quite as much, and consequentially it's harder to glean the "good stuff" because there's less of it.
So... if you're reading, enjoy. Please to be noting that even if a lot of this stuff is old, I'm keeping it up here so that the progression is visible to me and to others. Life is a WIP, and so is style... let me know what you think.
