Hello all!
My name is E. Setiawan. I currently live in Sydney, Australia and am studying at university right now in a Bachelor of Forensic Biology. You may be thinking, what is a science girl doing on FictionPress.com? Well, I started writing at the age of 12, and only really got serious by the age of 16. I have been told that my writing is exemplary, but that is for you to decide.
My writing is usually based on whatever happens to be in my head at the time. The world around me also plays an influence on my writing, as well as what I am listening to at the time. I have been told that planning plays a crucial part in writing, and I do take some time to plan through the general plotline and characterisation, but many of my chapters consist of me going with the flow, or "flow writing" as I like to put it.
Right now, I only have one poem which I wrote way back when I was a dispirited, unloved and unfeeling teenager. But don't worry, I've grown up since then! My writing may still seem somewhat childish, but I have a tendency to be childish sometimes.
There will be more writing. I promise~!
Hitotsu Dake: Only One
Category: Love / Poetry
Rated: K
Overview: While listening to "Hitotsu Dake", a Japanese song sung by Hirose Kami, I fell into a deep and unbreakable trance where I wrote this short (and childish) love poem. Ahem, okay, maybe not, but I was listening to that song.
A Symphony of the Heart
Category: Manga
Rated: T (although may become M later)
Overview: Inspired from many mangas I have been reading, such as Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club. I thought it would be good to write my own. However, because I can't draw as well as I want to, I decided to put my ideas down in literature. "A Symphony of the Heart" is about a 17-year-old girl by the name of Minoru Wakayabashi and her experiences with life, work and men, more specifically, a group of men she met one unexpected day.
I am currently reworking this story. More later.
Premise: Seventeen-year-old Minoru Wakayabashi's life is slowly being tattered by the trials she’s faced with everyday. A commoner who was married into a rich family, her step-family is not a kind one, and as such, Minoru finds herself with no financial support from her so-called family. After an unexpected flyer literally smacks her in the face, Minoru finds herself in an unexpected situation – she’s responsible for the lyrical integrity of seven men…
Principle Seven
Category: Social Science Fiction / Dystopian Literature
Rated: T (may become M later)
Overview: Dystopian Literature has always interested me. It tells of the vices of humanity on a more extreme level, something which has always intrigued me. Thus, I decided to write one of my own. "Principle Seven" follows the views of a girl who lives in the dystopic society, ruled by an extremist group called the Counsel and enforced by The Supremacy.

Beautiful Lie
Category: Fantasy / Supernatural
Rated: M (for violence, adult themes and language)
Overview: I have been planning this story for quite some time, and thought I would start it soon. As of a few weeks ago, I have finished chapters 1 through 3. I just need to finalise and Beautiful Lie will officially be underway.
Premise: Eleanor Bridges is an 18-year-old girl just entering into university. She currently lives with her best friend and fellow scholarship student Caden. Every week, Eleanor has university in the morning and heads for work at night, working in a small local laboratory. Her life is going well: steady grades and a well-paying job. One night, however, Eleanor meets Edmund… and her life changes forever…
