Author has written 13 stories for Fantasy, Life, Song, and Nature.
My name is Jessie, I attend a Jewish boarding high school in Greensboro NC. I love to read and write fiction and poetry, I also love to draw when the mood strikes me to do so. My favorite author is Neil Gaiman (if you haven't read anything by him, you need to!) and Orson Scott Card (I actually met him, and he is the most amazing person. He is so incredibly nice!!!!). I love music and some of my favorites include Matchbox 20 (especially their acoustic stuff), The Ataris, Sister Hazel, Don Mclean, OAR, Vertical Horizon, Jack Johnson, and various others. My favorite subjects in school are English and art.

I always always appreciate any commments on my work. flames are laughed at, but constructive criticism is always appreciated and taken into concideration. E-mails are also always welcome, as well as instant messages (I am almost always on, even at insane hours of the night. I am such an insomniac sometime!), so if you want to talk about my writing, or if you just want to chat, please feel free to IM me.

"Love is like death. It is indiscriminate. It has no
prejudice towards age, race, class, or sex. It will claim whomever it will."

"Young men go to war. Sometimes because they have to, sometimes because they want to. Always, they feel they are supposed to. This comes from the sad, layered stories of life, which over the centuries have seen courage confused with picking up arms, and cowardice confused with laying them down."

"When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us."

"We can easily become as much slaves to precaution as we can to fear. Although we can never rivet our fortune so tight as to make it impregnable, we may by our excessive prudence squeeze out of the life that we are guarding so anxiously all the adventurous quality that makes it worth living."

"Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything."
