Misc: I just completed my first year at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan studying Nursing. I'm also planning to get a major in Creative Writing. Writing is my biggest passion in life. My primary language is English and my secondary language is French though I've forgotten a lot of what I learned. I'm teaching myself Japanese.
I have a very dysfunctional family that includes a stay at home mom, a dad who's never around (he works and travels a lot), a brother who is a pickier eater than I am (me, the vegitarian!), and an 8 year-old dog who still acts like a puppy. I have a grandma on each side of the family (both grandfathers passed away) one who smokes, and one who is slowly going senile.
I have made a silent vow to never touch alchohol (and I can't spell the word for the life of me). My dad is somewhat of an alcoholic (well he drinks a lot though he never gets drunk-I guess he has a good sense of what his limit is) I have promised myself that I am never going to follow my granfather and die of lung cancer or my grandmother and get emphysema from smoking.I have vowed to never do drugs either. I won't trash my body. I like living and I want to live as long as possible. I'm also a pacifist, which means that I believe that violence can't always be used to solve problems. There are some instances where violence seems to be the only option but for the most part, I believe that it only makes matters worse.
I like to read though I seem to be doing less and less of that lately. I also like to draw though I'm not very good at it yet (I'm getting there). I'm really clumsy. I've hit my head too many times to count on my loft and I've run into lots of stuff. Corners seem to be my favorite for whatever reason. I like knitting, croteching, quilting, and doing other sewing projects though I haven't been doing much of that lately either. I write a lot. I'm very picky when it comes to my writing. I write it over and over and over again until I'm satisfied with it, though I never seem to be satesified with it. I believe in quality rather than quantity though I have written a lot of things here. Some of it isn't good at all though.
I can't stand coffee though it smells really good. I drink tea. I drink lots of tea. I try to avoid caffiene (how the heck do you spell it!) because it keeps me up all night. I do drink it in the morning sometimes or when I'm tired (though not really in the afternoon) to get me going.
