Preface

Meh, what can I say other than I like to write Novels. Most of my stories are several chapters long so...yeah. I like to take my writing to the next level if you know what I mean. If you don't like my style of writing, get over it. I'm working on some original stories so awesome you'd think they were written by long dead authors like Jules Verne and Rober Louis Stevenson.

Then again, I am a professional in my own right. According to Fictionpress I've written 25 Stories. I'm looking to have 50 Entries on FP.com by 2010. See my FP Forums to find ways to help me get there.

It's hard to tell but I am making some progress with my stories. Bear in mind I'm also writing Fanfiction in addition as well so...yeah. If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Live Journal and Xanga you're always be in the know of what I'm doing. I've given it some thought and there will be an stable of Holiday-Based Stories added to the Serene Adventure Chronicles. See below for more on that.

My focus for the next three to five years will be the Serene Adventure and Serene Overload series. The Mankiller and Legacy of Mara stories are part of the Serene Overload timeline so they, too will be finish and written, respectively. I want to talk a bit about where the Serene Adventure series ends and the Serene Overload series begins. There will be a Serene Adventure XII and that will be it. That much I have decided. It's been revealed in American Revolution that the original Angel and Zenith are still alive. So far they're the only members of the original Guardian Sages who will be part of of the new one. It's also mentioned in American Revolution the Guardian Sages of Earth, Pangaea and Kyomora went their separate ways. This will be discussed in further detail in Serene Adventure XI.

Ted Toss dies at the end of Serene Adventure VI. I believe I mentioned that a few weeks ago, yes? Well, he's raised from the dead as a Mystic Swordsman in VIII and leads an expedition into space in two stories. Serene Adventure XI is where the merging of the two timelines begins. I'll go into more detail on that after I finish writing American Revolution.

Now, back to what I said before about more Holiday-based stories. They'll be a sort of sub-division the Serene Adventure Chronicles. I call them Serene Adventure: Holiday Chronicles. At the moment, the two Christmas stories I wrote 3 years ago are part of it. More will be coming, starting with...Thanksgiving. Read the Holiday Chronicles sub-section below for more on that. I will also be writing some more Christain Stories. With a few exceptions, I've gone out of my way blur the lines between faith, evolution and the occult with the Serene Adventure Series.

With two stories I've begun writing I make it clear what the intention of the stories are:

-Serene Adventure: Blessed Assurance takes place during Champions on Earth and follows Aeris Toss, Jade Highwind and Hannah Patterson. Each person has their own personal and spiritual struggles; Aeris must deal with keeping her faith in Christ strong when her parents transfer her into Chicago's public school system. Unlike the Adventist Christain school she attended, she can't express her spiritual beliefs openly. Jade and her father Mark Anthony want her mother, Aurina to be saved but it's not easy when your very existence is considered as an abomination and forbidden. Jade knows that she would be considered an outcast but God can't possibly hate her because she exists, can he? Hannah's battles with depression take a bad turn when she ends up in the hospital sick with both Pnemonia and the flu. Her affliction is compounded by her being pregnant, which makes it impossible for her to breathe and the doctors want her to chose between her life or the life of her child. A visit from her adopted father presents her with a third option that may save the lives of both of them.

-Serene Adventure: Light of the World takes place during Champions on Earth. In this story, everyone has a favorite bible story so everyone gathers their bibles and travels to the Holy Land where they talk about their favorite story. Light of the World is split into two parts--Old Testament and New Testament. Faith is the one thing everyone on Earth has in common. In these epic stories, relive what's been the cornerstones of the Jewish (Old Testament only) and Christain (Old and New Testament) faiths for centuries. Following each story will be a more in-depth analysis of each story, lessons learned and even the answers to some of the most asked about questions.

And now, some information on the next three additions to the Holiday Chronicles. The following all take place during Serene Adventure IV: Champions.

-The Legend of Thanksgiving is quite possibly the most controversial story I will have ever written on this holiday. In this story Mark Anthony, Tomiko Morado and Henry Gale go back in time to settle once and for all the truth behind the first Thanksgiving. What they find could forever change long-standing tradition and the three are given a choice: Report their findings or keep what they learned secret. Their decision could literally change history.

-The Night that Christ was Born is the sequel to Christmas Family Matters and is also part of Light of the World-New Testament. Everyone knows the Nativity Story...or do they? Marie Kwan goes back in time with Aeris Toss to relive the story. By the time they've seen it through, they discover the truth is completely different from the story they knew before.

-Countdown to 2012 is a special New Year's story. As the world gets ready for the new year, Ted Toss relives the date that almost plunged the world into chaos.

-Returns of a King is a special Martin Luther King story. What would happen if the famous Civil Rights Leader were alive today? Celes Toss decides to find out and raises him from the dead for one week. It's been more than 50 years since the civil rights leader was assassinated. What does he think of an America that has seen its first African American President? You'll have to read and find out.

-Out of Many, One is a special Black History story. Kolani and Abel Brussel joined the Guardian Sages as part of one of the few African Tribes uneffected by both the Slave Trade and European Settlement of the early 16th, 17th and 18th Centuries. When they came to America, they discovered very few African Americans knew their ancestral lineage. Troubled by this, the siblings travel back in time to find out the reasons for this and what it truly means to be an American African.

Serene Adventure: Overload

Summary: In Serene Adventure: Overload, a freelance writer of the Serene Adventure stories (myself) suddenly finds that many of the things he's written about are starting to happen in real life. After meeting some of the characters he created, he's come to the conclusion that the real world and the world he created in his writings are merging! Why is this happening, can it be stopped and more importantly--does he WANT them to be separate or merged? This is going to be my most engaging piece of work as I have toyed with the idea of doing something like this after I finished Serene Adventure IV. I probably won't start working on it for a few years so...yeah.

Serene Overload: World Tournament

Summary: Serene Overload: World Tournament is a new story for the Serene Adventure Chronicles and spans both the Serene Adventure and Serene Overload timelines. Two Eternal Champions of Earth from two different time periods--Mara Mankiller and Ted Toss. During the brief time they existed at the same time, they fought together as allies. Now that the new Guardian Sages have been reborn, whispers beging to spread: "Which would win in a fight?"

Interested in finding out for herself, Mara links both timelines together and announces the biggest tournament in human history. Guardian Sages from across two periods in time are going to face off in a Tournament of EPIC proportions! The Prize: Bragging rights and a new Guardian weapon forged by the losing Eternal Champion! With the stakes so high, no one wants to lose!

Kids of the World

Summary: Kids of the World is a new story for the Serene Adventure Chronicles and takes place during Champions. One of Mark Anthony's inventions malfuctions, causing everyone over 17 to disappear from the world at the same time. The only adult uneffected is Ted Toss, who discovers all the effected people are invisible to the rest of the world. While he, Talen, Mora and Mark Anthony work to fix the problem, the world belongs to its children. In America, Europe and Eastern Asia the children waste no time enjoying their newfound "freedom". The biggest surprise comes when Angel and Zenith return to Earth to help keep everyone safe. Having no need to sleep, they can go everywhere at once.

As days turn into weeks, the joy of living in a world without parents turns into lonliness and a longing for filling a missing void in the lives of its children. The younger members of gangs waste no time seizing territories across North America. In Africa, the children work agaist time to prevent a devastating famine. The juvenile members of the Guardian Sages are forced to cast aisde "Childish Things" as they work to keep the world safe until the Adults are brought back. Even with Angel and Zenith's help, the task is just too much!

Be No Evil II: Legacy of Mara

Summary: Sequel to "Be No Evil". Takes place 6 years after the events of Be No Evil. Kelly Belton has been killed and a scared Chen-Law Kyomora barely escapes with her life. She is taken in by Karel, a mercenary who knew her birth mother. As she grows into a young woman he teaches her everything he knows in the way of the sword. She travels around the world to find out who tried to kill her and the truth behind what became of her mother: Mara Kyomora.

Serene Adventure Origins: Extended Edition (Working Sub-title)

Category: General Fiction

Summary: Prequel to Serene Adventure: Our Family Matters. In order to understand the Ted Toss you've come to know and love, you should take a look at him in a story before the story. Find out what went on prior to where Our Family Matters starts. For the first time ever, Abyssion's past and the origins of Aurina and Damien are finally revealed. How Ted met Terra Ortiz and Leanne Kwan may change the way you view them once you've seen their stories.

In the extended Edition Version, the story begins about 20 years before Ted is born and follows the story of Ted's father. It then follows Ted's childhood before picking up where Chapter 1 of the original version began.

Serene Adventure IV: Champions

Category: Supernatural

Summary: Takes place after the events of Serene Adventure III: Starry Heavens. Ted Toss, Hannah Patterson, Abyssion Highwind and Henry Gale return to Earth after helping to restore order on Kyomora and Pangaea. Ted became Earth's first Eternal Champion on Kyomora and wastes no time establishing his authority over the nations of the world. Even the United States acknolwedges Ted as Earth's Eternal Champion without incident. Upon returning home Ted and Abyssion must face one of the oldest issues in human history: The Nephilim. Representatives from Battle Creek, The Vatican, Jerulsalem and Mecca all ask him to purge them from the world. Abyssion promises to form an alliance with his father to seize control of the world, saying such an act would forever destroy the alliance the two had up to now. To make matters worse, The Heavenly Host refuses to intervine, saying this will be Ted's first test as Eternal Champion.

Meanwhile, Thrall Proudmoore leads his people to the Hoplon Star System. There, they settle on a fertile planet they call New Kyogea. As they get adjusted to life on their new home they are visited by the Neo Sapiens on the nearby planet Emerald Eden. The two sides form an alliance they call the Double Helix: People born of Science.

Finally, Queen Medusa and Emeperor Altrius Serdic note the explosion of a distant Star and sends a group to investigate. One person returns alive, telling of the horrors his group encountered on the planet Decarion: flesh-eating zombies and cyborgs that will kill anything that lives and breathes. When the man tells of seeing a lone swordsman on the planet, the rulers ask Talen Toss to investigate this Planet of Death.

Serene Adventure V: Holy Crusade

Summary: Despite Ted's warning, mankind unites under a single banner, creating the People's Empire of Earth America. The man chosen to be the surpreme ruler is Victor Bravo, an upstart man who puts order above all else. Because he is the Eternal Champion, Ted can gaze into the hearts of men. Having seen the plans Victor has for the world, he refuses to acknowledge the New World Order. Emperor Bravo responds by declaring The Champions of Earth the enemies of the world and brands Ted Toss a Warlord who would sooner destroy mankind than support the new government. Angel Toss returns to find the world very different since she left 12 years ago. Having traveled across the universe, she tells of the many worlds she visited and the countless civilizations that know God. All of them know about Earth, the fact that its people were created in God's image and the story of Jesus.

When the Emperor learns of these stories, he publicly announces his ulterior motives: He wants to kill God and become surpreme ruler of the universe! He then reveals the blueprint for his means of doing so--a Bible. He's decided the fastest way to make God come to him is to kill all Christains, Muslims and Jews. Mankind is forced to choose: Their faith or their loyalty to the Emperor. If they choose their Faith they and their families will be executed. If they choose Loyalty they will be forced to prove themselves by killing believers. As thousands are killed on earth every day, God talks to Ted and tells him he will have seven days in which to to stop the senseless killings, crush the Earth American Empire and retake Jerusalem in the name of God. If he fails, God will have no choice but to grant the Emperor's request for an audience with him. To aid him, God sends Michael, captain of the armies of Heaven to Earth to help with his campaign.

Using his power as the Eternal Champion, Ted Toss addresses the world: "Attention entire world! Hear my proclaimation! Your Champion, Ted Toss fights on behalf of The Author of the Universe, God. Emperor Victor Bravo has declared war upon the Kingdom of Heaven. For this affront, there will be no mercy. Unlike Emperor Bravo, it's all or nothing with God. As the saying goes, 'If God is for us, who can be against us?'. I want to ask everyone this question: Who will you serve? Will you serve the Emperor, who seeks the destruction of the world or will you serve God and ensure your eternal salvation? For those who chose God, you will be blessed with the Crusader's Aura and thus be a means of exerting the full wrath of God upon those who dare oppose his will.

For those who chose the Emperor, I only say you've sentenced yourselves to death. Anyone found with the mark of the Emperor will be not be spared--men, women and children--even the unborn. As the Eternal Champion, I am charged by choice to carry out the will of God. Starting tomorrow, The Holy Crusade will begin. By the time this week has ended, Victor Bravo will die. Weather he will be slain by me or God remains to be seen." With these words, Ted Toss declares war on the entire world.

Serene Adventure VI: Wrath of the Forsaken

Category: Horror/Supernatural

Summary: Throughout the ages, there have always been two opposing sides. One side usually fights for good, the other for evil. If an evil force grows corrupt, powerful and dangerous, a righteous force will arise to vanquish that which is evil, right? Not this time. In the final chapter of Serene Adventure V: Holy Crusade, Abyssion Highwind completed his betrayal of the Guardian Sages by speaking Damien's true name in Jerusalem. This act transforms the most holy city on earth into a citadel of darkness and merges the planes of Heaven, Hell and Earth into one, forever shattering the barriers that separated them. It also shattered the restaints that bound his other self--Estuans Vehementi--Evil Incarnate.

Aided by the Undead and Cyborgs of Decarion Abyssion, the leader of the Nephilim declares war on the Guardian Sages. He orders Damien--who is actually the Antichrist--to seize power on Earth and extinguish all strongholds of light wherever they are. In just a few days, Earth transforms into only a shadow of its former self and after 24 hours, most of the human race has been exterminated. When Ted Toss seeks aid from Heaven, he is horrified to find that it has been overrun with demons--many of which were involved in the original Ragnarok. Before he, Celes and Alex begin their fight to reclaim the planet he sends Leon, Haley, Jade and Ted Toss III on a quest fo find Angel and Zenith, who are on an expedition somewhere in the universe.

Meanwhile, Divine Emperor Altirus Serdic and Queen Medusa form an Alliance with the Neo Sapiens of the Double Helix. Together, they strike at the Cyborgs and Undead of Decarion at its heart. While The Neo Sapiens and the Kyogeans are allies unto themselves, the Kyogeans have no desire to work with the Guardian Sages and side with Abyssion's forces. Talen takes up Retribution and leads the charge to defend Kyomora and Pangaea from their demonically empowered enemies. Three of his siblings have already died fighting The Forsaken. He has no intention of losing any more loved ones.

At the same time, Mark Anthony is surprised to learn someone has raised Dexter and Rose from death--as Death Knights. When the two reveal themselves in what may be mankind's final hour, the question everyone wants to know is who or what could possibly loosen the chokehold Abyssion and Estuans have on The Guardian Sages? Ted Toss fights his way into Heaven, where he finds Abyssion himself standing between him and the Mercy Seat. Two Eternal Champions. Only one will remain standing. Celes makes good on a promise she made to Aurina and Marie and confronts Estuans. Her husband and older sister couldn't even slow him down, but unlike them she inherited a few things from her father.

Serene Adventure VII: The Twilight Order

Category: Sci-Fi/Action

Summary: Sequel to Serene Adventure VI: Wrath of the Forsaken. The Eternal Champions have once again restored order and the Forsaken are disbanded. Marie Kwan succeeds her father as the new Eternal Champion of Earth and Jade becomes the new Eternal Champion and Leader of the Nephilim. Now that they have returned, they learn of the newly formed Order of the Twlight. The Order is made up of Death Knights, Dread Lords and others raised from death by the factions during The war between the Guardian Sages, the Double Helix and the Forsaken. Led by Jenna, Dexter and Rose (friends of Mark Anthony before they died), they were given their freedom after the war ended.

Because the races of the order are diverse, they are accepted by the Double Helix and settle on Decarion. The Veterans of War are called into battle once more when Queen Medusa and Eve Frost are driven from power by revolution. Talen, Altrius and Thrall ask the Twilight Order to help not just because of the revolution but because the people leading the revolt are deserters of the Order. What better way to fight fire but with fire, yes?

Serene Adventure VIII: World Heroes

Category: Sci-Fi/Supernatural

Summary: The Twlight Order ended with news the Guardian Sages were sending a Bio Ship across the universe to settle a new planet. The man chosen to lead the expedition: Ted Toss, Earth's first Eternal Champion. The Bio-Ship Lois Clark was created using the combined technologies and resources of Earth, Kyomora and Pangea. It contains a continent, and ocean and five cities. The ship's journey across space will take several years and it's doubtful anyone other than Ted and the Undead crew members will live to see the end of the ship's journey. Their journey leads them to many new and exciting worlds where they meet new civilizations. A world in distress puts Ted in the position to become an Eternal Champion once more. To become Eternal Champion means leaving the expedition. To do nothing could result in the extinction of an entire planet. His decision changes forever what it means to be a Champion.

Serene Adventure IX: Generations

Summary: It's been ten years since the Lois-Clark departed in search of a new world and new Eternal Champions of the Guardian Sages are emerging. Talen and Felice's son Alair becomes Kyomora's Eternal Champion so Talen can succeed his grandmother as King of Kyomora. The aging Emperor Altrius Serdic passes the role of Eternal Champion to Nautica Frost--The exiled daughter of Eve Frost and Thrall Proudmoore. For the first time, Earth's newest Eternal Champion isn't a member of the Toss family. Marie Kwan passes the reigns to Andrew Patterson--Martin Toss's son and Hannah Patterson's Grandson. Two days later, Marie Kwan dies giving birth to a son she names Nathaniel.

The new generation of Eternal Champions know all about the exploits of their famous predecessors. They were very young when Abyssion Highwind and Ted Toss nearly destroyed the very fabric of time and space during the Guardian-Forsaken War. Speaking of Abyssion, the Master of Death is the absolute last person the Guardian Sages expected to ask for help with anything. He disappeared shortly after making Jade the Eternal Champion wth Damien, whose mind was now being controlled by his dark self, Estuans Vehementi. It seems Estuans has plunged the Nephilim world Endora into darkness and the only person who defeated him--Celes Toss--is on the Lois-Clark. Left with no other choice, the new Eternal Champions answer the Archfiend's Challenge.

Summary: Sequel to American Revolution. Having slain Agent Normandy, Mara Kyomora redeemed the Guardian Sages of Earth. As the new Eternal Champion, she sets to work restoring the shattered world she lives in. When emissaries from Kyomora, Pangaea, New Kyogea and Decarion arrive on Earth, Mara realizes the only way to band Mankind together would be by uniting the entire world under a single banner.
