I'm Lisa. I'm a poet. I gave novels a shot, but my attention span simply wasn't long enough and writing became a chore (hence the removal of 'Unwanted Memories'...well, that and the fact that it was written quite a few years ago, and, looking back on it, I was not at all proud of what I had written, which is never a good opinion to have of your own work.)
I'm pretty quirky, so I would hardly say there's any certain theme to my poems. I don't try to be anything I'm not, writing about things that I don't understand to try to appear smarter or deeper than I really am. I write what I think, what I feel, and what I know (which explains poems about muffins, sombreros, friendship, and easter egg catches) Some poems may make you laugh, and others hopefully won't.
I'd like to believe that I'm fairly open-minded. I like to think. I think a bit too much, I'm told. I'm a liberal christian who tends to analyze herself into confusion. I'm...well, not shy, per se, but a bit reserved, I suppose. I speak Spanish in addition to English, and am working on French and Italian.
I like tea, vanilla yogurt, acoustic guitar, barnes and noble, and vampires. I sneeze when I brush my teeth (minor mint alllergy) and I hope to someday remember what the keyboard shortcut for the Spanish tilde is. Daydreaming is an active past-time for me and I adore swing dancing. I write for my school paper, as well as perform in numerous community theatres and choirs. Life's good.
I'd love to hear feedback from anyone and I always return reviews. I don't think I've ever met a writer who doesn't love to hear how they're doing, so if I recieve a review, I feel it's the least I can do to return the favor.
