Author has written 14 stories for Young Adult, War, Fantasy, Love, and Nature. Hey, I'mKarin.I am, as i guess every one on this site is, an aspiring writer. And of course I love getting constructi ve critisim on my work... If you have anything to say, please let me know and i'll try to return the favor! Here's some info one my stories/poetry; Madrid, March 11th 2004: I wrote it in spanish class... i was really bored but I was supposed to be reading an arcticle on the terrorist attack... so instead I wrote a poem on it... The one, poetry; I wrote it when I fell in love with one of my best guy friends, (it's happened 3 times in the past 3 years.) Tangled Web; I wrote this one just after I had had a fight with my sis and my mom. The charatcer is kinda based on me. I'll tell you how I got my inspiration. I was crying on my bed, (ya, just like noelle) and basicly everything happened the same as in the story, except in stead of the door bell ringing i decided to go write a story, i wrote non-stop for 1 1/2 hours. the rest is my imagination. This one's my Favy! Forever; I got the Idea for this one one day when I was hanging out with my friend Sharon. I asked "do immortals feel pain" (tottaly out of the blue I might add) and so I let it go for a little while, until one day, i had nothing to do so I began to write about it. Way Back When: I got my inspiration for this one from the Music Video; Into Your Hideout, It's about this guy, who is a writer, and he finds a rune, and in this rune, (who knows how many years ago) there was a sickness, and it made people do crazy things, so the servant girl Kayla is surrounded by these people doing things they would not normally do. It's about how she reacts and how the guy(the writer), wants and tries to help her. You and I: Ok, I wrote this one, when, after a couple weeks of going out with this AMAZING guy, I wasn't sure if I really liked him anymore. Like in Spiderman: I relly hate the title of this one, if you have any suggestions let me know. It used to be called "my gift and my curse", but then one of my buddies read it and he was like "oh! it's like in spiderman" so I tried it out but it didnt really work. It's about a guy who prophecises, (uh, how DO you spell that?) his own death, then he moves to Haliburton, a town in Ontario, where he meets the girl of his dreams, there's only one problem, she doesn't know he exists. I've been considering putting a sex scene in this one but i dunno, as I'm stil a virgin, i wouldn't know how to describe it... lol. Why, poetry: I wrote this one after 9/11, I entered it in a poetry writting contest, and I was a semi finalist but my mom didn't want me goin any further with it till she found out more a bout it but by the time she did the contest was over. If you do't believe I frankly don't care (no offense meant) be cause I know it happened. It's basicly about my confusion about why things like terrorism happen. Vanessa's Romeo; my second story i ever wrote that was any good at all. It's about a guy, Kyle his best friend Darcy, and their best Girl (that is a) friend Vanessa. Vanessa got into a little trouble with a gang member, (but I'm not sure what kind of trouble it should be, I didn't go into depth a bout cuz I didn't wanna make her look like for example slut, but any suggestions would be greatly apprectiated) and to save her Kyle and Darcy have to go retrieve a portrait from a delapidated mansion, (don't ask me why, i'm not sure on that one eiyther, but i've had I deas, i'm still developing them) that's about it, I've got writters block on it right now, I'm not sure how to continue it. grrrr! AS far as reviewing my stuff go's "If you don't have anything nice to say..." Just say it!! I need all the help I can get. don't get me wrong I'm not under confident I just want to improve as much as I can!
