Author has written 36 stories for Love, General, Song, Action, Fantasy, Life, Haiku, Fantasy, Nature, and Humor. Why Serfious do you ask? I don't know. That's me. When I look down into myself only one name comes to mind. It's not Jake Lucas. No. I am Serfious. That is what I call myself. But what is in a name, anyway? I'm a 16-year old high school junior and I have been writing poetry on and off for a while, but I really started picking it up and taking it a bit more seriously this year. Many times I am hit with sudden creative ideas or artistic inspirations. For the past year I have decided to start writing my thoughts and feelings down and create poetry and stories. A lot of my poetry is written in the form of raw emotion. Very little to no planning is done before my poems. I just let the words flow from me. Music also influences me a lot. Sometimes I write with soft, relaxing music like Modest Mouse and when I do my poems seem to be a bit more self reflective and slightly uplifting. Sometimes when I listen to some metal and that gets my blood going. A lot of my darker, depressing, and emotionaly tumultous like Adrift in Nothingness and Once A Being of Purity didn't use music, though. My favorite quote is "There is a fine line between genious and insanity." By definition of the word, I am a genious (forgive me if I come off as arrogant. Thats not my intention. I'm actually pretty humble about it), but I'll let you decide whether I'm just really intellegent or really insane. Everthing is perspective, be it good or evil, wrong or right, and in this case genious or insanity. I'll be happy being either one. Both give my work a little bit more flair. Come to think, the insanity thing would be a bit more interesting. Hmm... Anyway, to turn away from that tangent I just want to say that I love getting reviews. Nothing brings me more joy than making people think. Whether it be an aspect of their own lives or just help them see a different perspective on things. One disclaimer, though, I'm terrible at leaving reviews, so don't mind if I sound cheesy or what not. | |||||||
