Previously Known As: I.C.T
16 Female UK.
I am "me". In some ways that makes me everyone.
There's something to contemplate. Humans are so amazingly similar. It's not a bad thing, necessarily, but interesting.
"I'm not a perfect person, there's many things I wish I didn't do" Hoobastank
"Kiss today goodbye. Point me towards tomorrow. We did what we had to do - Can't forget, Won't regret what I did for love"
- From the song What I Did For Love
I write to vent my feelings; basically the chaotic mess of emotion inside me explodes in a frenzy of jumbled words and random witterings. I hope that my thoughts and feelings can interest/amuse/help and just basically evoke thought from readers.
Most important, I believe, is thanking all my reviewers. It's nice to feel appreciated, or be able to improve due to constructive criticism. I will generally try to review back. I am more likely to review poetry. Am not great with reviews though, so just know that I appreciate your reviews, even if I don't get back to you personally.
A lot of my stuff is based on my thoughts/feelings. Sometimes, my work is just random based on any little thing that has inspired thought but a lot of the time it is "non-fiction" insofar as poetry can be "true". Despite this, there are things I write about that I don't have firsthand experience of.
- My mind burns and my heart cries
In eager anticipation.
Yet it's waiting for nothing.
And nothing is so unbearably constant. -
Interpreting poetry is like searching for one needle in millions of haystacks.
Poetry isn't a past-time, it's an outlet
The power of words and the musings of many are amazing:
'Better to stand ten thousand sneers than one abiding pang, such as time could not abolish, of bitter self reproach' Thomas De Quincey
I also find that music is evocative, touching and extremely powerful. Songs are a source of inspiration and hope.
In Progress
I have certain collections of poems that are not quite done yet.
Incest - I owe my friend two more poems for that collection.
House - I have about 80 more episode titles to complete lolz.
GCSEs - That won't be done until June 13th, it's just an outlet for all random feelings I may end up with during these exams.
Other random poems that I want to edit according to reviews or whatnot or i put up but am not totally satisfied with will also be set as "in progress"
