Hmmm...
Thank you for being interested enough in me, or my work, to check my bio. Let's see, basic stuff-My name's Alexis, which is why I sometimes go by lexi on my unlogged reviews. Casara D'Artan is a signet character of mine who I am very fond of. I love theatre, music (I play flute/pic and some sax), writing and, even more so than that, reading. I love all sorts of literature from Shakespeare to J.K. Rowling; there was even a strange occasion where I enjoyed reading Beowulf. I have somewhat of a weakness for good romance novels because I'm a romantic at heart and I absolutely love the reward of digging through this site for long periods of time until I find a story that captures me. I love theatre and not just live theatre but the cinema as well; both can enrapture the mind, ensnare our senses and convince us that we are living a life that is not our own; the production of this has become an art form, one that I respect and admire. I love listening to music; a very clever teacher of mine once asked my class to define music; the only answer we could agree upon after a long and extremely passionate discussion was that music is sound or noise that is aesthetically pleasing to an individual; in other words- music is what we make it; and because of that I can love and hate what other people hate and love and the world will continue on without missing a beat; that within itself is a marvelous thing. Whether you like my writing or not doesn't really matter, what matters is that I am doing something I love; it doesn't have to be something perfect, it doesn't even have to be good, it just has to be something.

05-25-05: I have shied from writing and, to a great extent, reading because of my class load this past semester. But, I have every hope that this summer will produce something from me. I'm in a new state where I know nobody but family...this should be interesting.

01-24-05: Wow, time is an interesting intangable. I find myself very much adapted to living in a dorm and having a life that is completely different from my previous experiences. I'm still learning so much and I am so inspired by the entire enviroment that comes from being at a large university, or even any university. Which is why I have been doing almost no writing and gargantuan amounts of reading for the past semester. I can't say if I will post anything soon, just that I am getting close to something...

06-06-04: The summer is here. I have graduated and my high school career is finished; that within itself is a scary thing, for me and my college. My AP Lit and Comp class is just a memory, a rather happy one at that. And on that whimsical note I shall stop babbling.

I’m just beginning to revise my rough draft of the aforementioned story (or rather, the one from my last entry). I don’t have much time however because I will be leaving the country on the 21st, not permanently but until the 1st week of August. So everything is up in the air for now; there is really no reason to rush it except that the quasi-subject and muse of the piece is pushing me a bit (and yes he is an actual person).

As for The Curse of Kykira, it is a possibility that I will be struck with inspiration sometime this summer but as of yet I have not sat down and seriously planned the progression of the novel or its role in the series. I have a basic outline in my head that has been there since I first concocted the characters but I want to establish all of that on paper before I begin writing it again. So consider this as a closed work in progress for now. As soon as I get the big picture set I will begin posting again. I apologize for the delay to the readers who like this piece and want to see it continued.

04-27-04: Aurora has branched out on her own folks. We are still collaborating and writing the story together (in fact she's standing over my shoulder right now) but she has her own account now- AuroraTera, here at fictionpress. We are about to post another chapter so go read it. I shall be posting a story in a couple of weeks after I proof it a few more times, so check up on me. *retreats into comfy chair to eat Velveeta while Aurora reads latest chapter aloud*

04-11-04: Aurora and I are so bogged down with a certain AP Lit and Comp class, that we haven't been able to do our normal Tuesday, write-until-Gilmore-Girls-comes-on date for the past few weeks. I know there are a few of you wondering where we are and I'm sorry, but I think this week is looking good. I am also am working on a few stories (2 precisely) that I am considering posting. One is for a friend of mine- a view into his future; and the other is a story based on several dreams and something I was told about my life that got me thinking. I'm saying all this as a precursor; I want to make it a bit more real in my mind so I can start writing at a standard, if that makes sense. If not, go on with your lives and try not to pay attention to the ramblings of of a often-labled strange mind.

02-17-04: I just posted a new story called The Return of The Unwilling. This was written by my friend who shall remain nameless for now. I'm kind of helping her write it and editing for her and as usual, I would like constructive criticism. Thank you very much.

Oh, and I'm removing The Curse of Kykira until I find a better approach. Thanks to all who read and reviewed. I will probably post it again this summer when I don't have a certain AP English class to deal with.

1. Elora reviews
Murder, Mystery, Intrigue. Emeshed with a young, headstrong girl, a woman somewhat lost in the complacency of her life, and a sweetly befuddled guy who can't help but be smitten with them both.
