I've uploaded a companion piece to New World Order, which has been put in just before the prologue to Part I.
Chapter Twelve of X is coming along very well, which is basically all I'm focusing on, now. I want to finish this story before I do much more with anything else.
My Works
1. New World Order: Like probably too many sci-fi stories, it's set in a future country ruled by a totalitarian regime, but I think that this one is different than others. It follows the story of Marcus Greene--an ordinary man who becomes involved in a revolution movement--and an unnamed thing, something neither human nor machine. Similar to The Phantom Lord, it is broken into three parts: Human and Inhuman, Beyond the Walls, and New World Order. The thing is what I believe sets this story apart from others in similar settings. Like The Phantom Lord and X, it is based on artwork done by my younger brother, showing the thing killing the first guard and some basic concept art for the then-unnamed main character, Marcus Greene.
Rated T for language and violence (may change with addition of new characters and situations).
2. The Phantom Lord: A dark, medieval tale set in a world similar to Europe during the Middle Ages. Magic and swordplay abound, accompanied by full-scale war scenes, demonic forces, and . . . well, more magic and swordplay. Like New World Order, it is broken into three distinct parts, For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Unforgiven, and The Phantom Lord, each telling a different piece of the story. Like New World Order and X, it started with drawings my brother made--featuring the death of Aluf and Mordekhai's first in-story battle--inspired by the Metallica song by the same name. Those and too much watching of Berserk led to what is on this site.
Rated M for descriptions of gore, language, and violence.
3. X: Hyper-violent and, in my opinion, extrememly cool. Not too heavy on plot, so don't read if you're not into plain, no-holds-barred action without spectacular twists and deep characters. Written using scenes from action movies/books/games that I really like as inspirations, though many are modified a bit before written. Attempts are made to pay attention to weapon detail, though I don't know--or feel like finding out--the names of suppressors, laser sights, flashlights, or anything like that, because nobody really cares. Like New World Order and The Phantom Lord, it started with a fairly random drawing of my brother's that I eventually created a full-blown story for. His current appearance was mostly my idea, and some ideas from the story continue to come from the art.
Rated M for explicit descriptions of gore, extreme violence, and language.
